Ap\u00f3s a fal\u00eancia que obrigou o seu fundador Ferruccio Lamborghini a abandonar a empresa, a marca italiana ficou sob o controlo dos irm\u00e3os Mimran. A sua ambi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 clara: relan\u00e7ar o construtor... mesmo que isso implique explorar ideias inesperadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E n\u00e3o lhes falta ousadia. Entre motores V12 para barcos de competi\u00e7\u00e3o, o lan\u00e7amento do espetacular LM002 e a diversifica\u00e7\u00e3o em todas as direc\u00e7\u00f5es, a Lamborghini tenta reinventar-se. Foi neste contexto que surgiu um projeto totalmente improv\u00e1vel: uma moto com o selo do touro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O Lamborghini... concebido em Fran\u00e7a<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Em vez de desenvolver a moto internamente em Sant'Agata Bolognese, Patrick Mimran tomou a surpreendente decis\u00e3o de confiar o projeto \u00e0 Boxer Design, uma oficina francesa conhecida pelas suas motos topo de gama e tecnologias inspiradas na aeron\u00e1utica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O projeto come\u00e7ou em 1986, sob a dire\u00e7\u00e3o do engenheiro Claude Fior, uma figura respeitada no mundo das motos. O objetivo era claro: criar uma m\u00e1quina excecional, capaz de competir com as melhores motos desportivas da \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O resultado \u00e9 radical. O Lamborghini Design 90 tem uma estrutura de alum\u00ednio inteiramente constru\u00edda \u00e0 m\u00e3o, com t\u00e9cnicas de soldadura derivadas da aeron\u00e1utica. At\u00e9 o dep\u00f3sito de combust\u00edvel \u00e9 feito de alum\u00ednio para poupar peso. A suspens\u00e3o \u00e9 ajust\u00e1vel, como numa moto de competi\u00e7\u00e3o, e os componentes s\u00e3o topo de gama: trav\u00f5es Brembo, suspens\u00e3o traseira Fournal\u00e8s, pe\u00e7as maquinadas a partir de ligas ultraleves. A Lamborghini optou por um quatro cilindros em linha da Kawasaki, dispon\u00edvel em 900 cm\u00b3 ou 1000 cm\u00b3, com 120 a 130 cv de pot\u00eancia. Uma escolha pragm\u00e1tica: fi\u00e1vel, de elevado desempenho e j\u00e1 testada e comprovada. Mas \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m uma escolha que contrasta com a imagem da marca, habituada aos seus motores espectaculares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No papel, a moto tinha tudo para seduzir: cerca de 170 kg a seco, uma velocidade m\u00e1xima superior a 250 km\/h, tecnologia avan\u00e7ada e um processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o praticamente caseiro. Uma esp\u00e9cie de \u201cCountach sobre duas rodas\u201d, de acordo com alguns observadores da altura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uma mota demasiado cara... e demasiado estranha<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>E, no entanto, o projeto n\u00e3o deu em nada. O problema principal? O pre\u00e7o. Em 1986, o pre\u00e7o da Design 90 era de cerca de 13.000 d\u00f3lares, mais do dobro do pre\u00e7o de uma moto desportiva equivalente. Uma soma enorme para uma mota, mesmo uma exclusiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tem tamb\u00e9m um design muito distinto, muito distante das linhas ic\u00f3nicas do Miura, Countach ou Diablo. A sua carro\u00e7aria integral em fibra de vidro, que cobre quase totalmente o grupo motopropulsor, \u00e9 t\u00e3o desconcertante como intrigante. Como resultado, os clientes n\u00e3o est\u00e3o a seguir o exemplo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O plano inicial previa 25 bicicletas, mas a realidade foi muito mais brutal. No final, s\u00f3 foram constru\u00eddas seis motas antes de o programa ser interrompido. Atualmente, restam apenas cinco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A hist\u00f3ria do Lamborghini Design 90 n\u00e3o termina aqui. Em 2018, um dos raros exemplares foi colocado em leil\u00e3o no Reino Unido, com um pre\u00e7o inicial de cerca de 58.000 d\u00f3lares. Mas mesmo com a sua extrema raridade e hist\u00f3ria \u00fanica, a mota n\u00e3o encontrou compradores. Uma tentativa ousada de diversifica\u00e7\u00e3o, nascida em tempos turbulentos, que ilustra at\u00e9 que ponto a Lamborghini foi capaz de explorar territ\u00f3rios inesperados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Com o seu motor Kawasaki, o seu ADN franco-italiano e a sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o ultra-limitada, personifica uma \u00e9poca em que tudo parecia poss\u00edvel... at\u00e9 para a Lamborghini. E embora ningu\u00e9m o quisesse nos anos 80, tornou-se agora um artigo raro, procurado pelos coleccionadores mais exigentes.
