Com mais de 60 anos, o Ferrari 250 GTO continua a ser n\u00e3o s\u00f3 uma refer\u00eancia absoluta, mas tamb\u00e9m o autom\u00f3vel mais cobi\u00e7ado do planeta. A recente venda de um para <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/ferrari\/o-novo-proprietario-do-ferrari-250-gto-vendido-por-38-milhoes-de-euros-revelou-a-sua-identidade-e-o-famoso-colecionador-de-legumes-com-mostarda-e-ketchup\/\">38,5 milh\u00f5es de euros<\/a> \u00e9 outro exemplo brilhante deste facto. Mas porqu\u00ea este <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/ferrari\/\">Ferrari<\/a> Ser\u00e1 que atinge tais valores? A resposta est\u00e1 tanto na sua hist\u00f3ria como naquilo que representa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pensar, antes de mais, nas corridas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apresentado oficialmente em fevereiro de 1962 em Maranello, durante a tradicional confer\u00eancia de imprensa de pr\u00e9-temporada da Ferrari, o 250 GTO (para Gran Turismo Omologato) nunca foi um simples carro de estrada. Apesar de ter sido homologado para utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o legal, foi antes de mais concebido como uma arma de competi\u00e7\u00e3o para a categoria GT do campeonato da FIA. Numa altura em que a linha entre um carro de competi\u00e7\u00e3o e um carro civil ainda era pouco n\u00edtida, o GTO encarnava a abordagem mais radical da Ferrari: vender um carro que estava praticamente pronto para correr a um n\u00famero restrito de clientes. Sob a dire\u00e7\u00e3o inicial do engenheiro Giotto Bizzarrini, depois Mauro Forghieri ap\u00f3s a sua tempestuosa sa\u00edda na sequ\u00eancia de um desentendimento com Enzo Ferrari, o projeto assumiu uma dimens\u00e3o quase obsessiva. Trinta e tr\u00eas foram produzidos na primeira s\u00e9rie, seguidos por tr\u00eas vers\u00f5es \"S\u00e9rie II\" com carro\u00e7aria modificada. Na altura, custavam cerca de 18.500 d\u00f3lares, uma soma colossal para um carro GT. Mas o dinheiro n\u00e3o era suficiente. Enzo Ferrari controlava pessoalmente cada potencial comprador, recusando-se a vender os seus GTOs a clientes considerados inadequados. Esta sele\u00e7\u00e3o dr\u00e1stica explica um facto que \u00e9 quase \u00fanico na hist\u00f3ria do automobilismo: os 36 exemplares produzidos ainda existem hoje. Todos eles correram, todos eles foram usados, mas todos eles sobreviveram. Nas 12 Horas de Sebring de 1962, Phil Hill e Olivier Gendebien venceram a classe e terminaram em segundo lugar na geral, \u00e0 frente de prot\u00f3tipos mais leves e mais potentes. A mensagem era clara: a Ferrari tinha uma m\u00e1quina excecional. O que se seguiu foi uma sucess\u00e3o de sucessos. Tr\u00eas t\u00edtulos consecutivos no Campeonato Internacional de Construtores GT da FIA, vit\u00f3rias na classe e na geral em eventos lend\u00e1rios como a Targa Florio, o Tour de France Automobile, os 1000 km de N\u00fcrburgring, Goodwood e as 24 Horas de Le Mans. Projetado por Gioacchino Colombo em 1947, este motor acompanhou o desenvolvimento da marca durante mais de uma d\u00e9cada. Atingiu o seu apogeu no 250 GTO. Com a sua cilindrada de 3,0 litros, seis carburadores Weber duplos, \u00e1rvore de cames \u00e0 cabe\u00e7a e uma fiabilidade not\u00e1vel, desenvolvia quase 300 cv, um valor impressionante para a sua \u00e9poca. Mas para al\u00e9m do seu desempenho puro, foi a sua resist\u00eancia que impressionou. Capaz de suportar corridas de 12 ou 24 horas sem vacilar, este V12 desempenhou um papel direto na lenda do GTO. O seu design desempenha um papel fundamental. Resultado de um extenso trabalho aerodin\u00e2mico de Bizzarrini e Forghieri, refor\u00e7ado pelo talento do construtor de carro\u00e7arias Sergio Scaglietti, o GTO combina efici\u00eancia e eleg\u00e2ncia como poucos outros autom\u00f3veis na hist\u00f3ria. As suas propor\u00e7\u00f5es, as cavas das rodas musculadas, o capot longo e a popa compacta sobreviveram \u00e0s d\u00e9cadas sem uma \u00fanica ruga. Para muitos historiadores, designers e entusiastas, \u00e9 simplesmente um dos autom\u00f3veis mais bonitos alguma vez concebidos. As vendas sucessivas, por vezes superiores a 50 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares consoante a hist\u00f3ria e o estado do chassis, colocaram definitivamente o GTO no topo do mercado. A recente venda por 38,5 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares de um exemplar \u00fanico, nunca extensivamente restaurado e com uma configura\u00e7\u00e3o sem precedentes, apenas confirma uma tend\u00eancia de longa data.
