Enquanto a categoria dos sport-prot\u00f3tipos est\u00e1 em decl\u00ednio, as corridas de GT, por outro lado, est\u00e3o a desfrutar de um renascimento. O campeonato BPR foi fundado em 1994 por Patrick Peter e St\u00e9phane Ratel para reavivar as corridas de GT sem gastar muito. Inicialmente destinado aos gentlemen-drivers, este campeonato - precursor das actuais competi\u00e7\u00f5es sob a bandeira SRO - tornou-se um meio popular para os construtores de supercarros promoverem os seus modelos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/ferrari\/\">Ferrari<\/a> A F40 desenvolveu vers\u00f5es GTE e LM do F40, e v\u00e1rios deles competiram no BPR contra a eterna armada de Porsche 911s, Venturis, Jaguares e, acima de tudo, os novos McLaren F1s. Este \u00faltimo, na sua vers\u00e3o LM, causou sensa\u00e7\u00e3o ao vencer as 24 Horas de Le Mans de 1995, batendo os prot\u00f3tipos. Era um sinal de que o futuro das corridas de resist\u00eancia estava nos supercarros!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A F50: a Ferrari entra numa nova era<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>E se o F40, agora um pouco desatualizado, encontrasse o seu digno herdeiro na competi\u00e7\u00e3o? Apresentado em 1995, o Ferrari F50 representou um enorme salto tecnol\u00f3gico. Concebido como um verdadeiro \"carro de F\u00f3rmula 1 para a estrada\", baseia-se num monocoque composto de carbono\/kevlar. O motor tamb\u00e9m tem o ADN da F1, uma vez que o F130B V12, com 4,7 litros e 520 cv, deriva diretamente do motor Tipo 36 que equipou os 640 monolugares de Alain Prost e Nigel Mansell na F1 em 1990! A unidade motor\/transmiss\u00e3o, fixada diretamente \u00e0 carro\u00e7aria, e a suspens\u00e3o controlada eletronicamente, fixada \u00e0 caixa de velocidades, s\u00e3o solu\u00e7\u00f5es retiradas diretamente das corridas e totalmente in\u00e9ditas na \u00e9poca num supercarro de estrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/moteur-v12.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/moteur-v12.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/moteur-v12-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/moteur-v12-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/moteur-v12-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>O carro de corrida F50 tamb\u00e9m tem outra base formid\u00e1vel: o Ferrari 333Sp, um prot\u00f3tipo desenvolvido pela Dallara, que reintroduziu a Ferrari nas corridas de prot\u00f3tipos desportivos a partir de 1994. O 333Sp teve algum sucesso, primeiro na IMSA e depois na Europa no final da d\u00e9cada de 1990. O monocoque de carbono e a suspens\u00e3o deste prot\u00f3tipo, que tamb\u00e9m utilizou o Ferrari F1 V12 (numa vers\u00e3o de 4,0 litros conhecida como F130E), foram utilizados no desenvolvimento do F50 GT. A Ferrari recorreu aos servi\u00e7os da Dallara e da Michelotto, uma empresa que, acredite, foi respons\u00e1vel pela produ\u00e7\u00e3o do Lancia Stratos, do Ferrari 308 Rallye Group 4 e do 333 Sp!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Muito perspicaz e na vanguarda da tecnologia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pesando apenas 860 quilos sem carga (em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com os 1.230 da vers\u00e3o de produ\u00e7\u00e3o), o F50 GT utiliza o mesmo chassis monocoque composto da vers\u00e3o de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, com Kevlar, Nomex e fibra de carbono. O F50 GT j\u00e1 nem sequer tem um motor de arranque, substitu\u00eddo por um sistema de arranque externo como na F1. O carro tamb\u00e9m sofreu altera\u00e7\u00f5es aerodin\u00e2micas significativas, com um spoiler traseiro maior e ajust\u00e1vel, um spoiler dianteiro revisto, um grande difusor e um tejadilho fixo encimado por uma grande entrada de ar para arrefecer a fera que se esconde atr\u00e1s do habit\u00e1culo. Quanto ao V12, posicionado longitudinalmente, com um \u00e2ngulo de 65\u00b0 e lubrifica\u00e7\u00e3o por c\u00e1rter seco, mant\u00e9m a sua cabe\u00e7a de cilindro de 60 v\u00e1lvulas e possui gest\u00e3o Magnetti Marelli Competition. Este motor grita at\u00e9 \u00e0s 10.500 rpm para uma pot\u00eancia m\u00e1xima de 750 cv e 529 Nm de bin\u00e1rio \u00e0s 7.500 rpm. Uau!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os testes foram confiados a Nicola Larini, o piloto de testes da Scuderia e her\u00f3i de Biscione, que tinha conduzido o 155 V6 ao triunfo no DTM. Os testes decorreram em Fiorano e, de imediato, os valores de desempenho pareceram promissores: o F50 GT foi mais r\u00e1pido do que o 333sp, com um tempo 0-100 de 2,9 segundos e uma velocidade m\u00e1xima te\u00f3rica de 376 km\/h (imposs\u00edvel de alcan\u00e7ar em Fiorano!). No entanto, os tempos de volta oficiais permanecem confidenciais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ferrari bate com a porta no \u00faltimo minuto<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mas foi tudo em v\u00e3o. A Ferrari manteve-se no esp\u00edrito do BPR, com um carro de produ\u00e7\u00e3o que podia ser transformado num carro de corrida. Mas a situa\u00e7\u00e3o pol\u00edtica muda de repente.  O interesse crescente dos construtores levou a FIA a tomar as r\u00e9deas do BPR, que se tornou o campeonato FIA-GT em 1997. O quadro geral era promissor, com regulamentos t\u00e9cnicos que davam r\u00e9dea solta \u00e0 criatividade dos engenheiros, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de apenas 25 modelos de estrada para homologa\u00e7\u00e3o e a cobertura televisiva assegurada pelo Eurosport, que deveria garantir interessantes resultados econ\u00f3micos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/porsche-911-gt1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/porsche-911-gt1.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/porsche-911-gt1-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/porsche-911-gt1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/porsche-911-gt1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/mercedes-clk-gtr.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45597\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/mercedes-clk-gtr.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/mercedes-clk-gtr-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/mercedes-clk-gtr-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/mercedes-clk-gtr-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mas, ao contr\u00e1rio da Ferrari, a Porsche e a Mercedes optaram por extrapolar os regulamentos at\u00e9 ao limite, explorando as lacunas da legisla\u00e7\u00e3o bastante permissiva. Desenvolveram GT1s que mais pareciam prot\u00f3tipos disfar\u00e7ados do que verdadeiros GTs. A vers\u00e3o de estrada, com alguns ajustes, foi homologada para se manter dentro dos regulamentos. A Porsche chegou com um \"911 GT1\" que n\u00e3o tinha nada em comum com o 911 de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e0 exce\u00e7\u00e3o dos far\u00f3is, e ofereceu um GT1 \"Strassenversion\" em estado puro. A Mercedes, que se juntou \u00e0 s\u00e9rie ap\u00f3s o desaparecimento do DTM\/ITC, entrou com um carro totalmente novo, o CLK-GTR, que n\u00e3o tinha nada a ver com o CLK de produ\u00e7\u00e3o e que tamb\u00e9m foi produzido pela estrela numa vers\u00e3o de estrada de 20 carros. Promete ser uma corrida de armas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Ferrari sentiu que o esp\u00edrito do GT estava a ser tra\u00eddo pelos alem\u00e3es. Maranello protestou junto da FIA, chegando ao ponto de pedir a proibi\u00e7\u00e3o do 911 GT1, mas sem sucesso. Este \"diferendo\" regulamentar serviu de pretexto para cancelar o projeto F50 GT, tanto mais que a Ferrari preferiu dar prioridade \u00e0 F1. A Ferrari investiu fortemente na transi\u00e7\u00e3o para os regulamentos V10. Jean Todt reuniu uma verdadeira \"equipa de sonho\" de engenheiros, estruturada em torno de Michael Schumacher, recrutado a partir de 1996 para reconquistar o t\u00edtulo mundial. Tal como em 1973, quando a FIAT ordenou \u00e0 Ferrari que acabasse com as corridas de resist\u00eancia para se concentrar na F1, Di Montezemolo n\u00e3o quer que a Ferrari disperse as suas for\u00e7as. Outras hip\u00f3teses sugerem que Ecclestone utilizou a sua influ\u00eancia para impedir a Ferrari de se juntar \u00e0 FIA-GT, com receio de que este campeonato pudesse ofuscar a F1. \u00c9 sabido que \"Bernie\" j\u00e1 tinha trabalhado para enfraquecer o Grupo C anteriormente... Outros pensam simplesmente que a Ferrari, consciente da superioridade intr\u00ednseca da Porsche e da Mercedes com os seus prot\u00f3tipos disfar\u00e7ados, teria preferido evitar um poss\u00edvel fracasso desportivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O plano inicial era construir seis carros. Dois j\u00e1 estavam confirmados com a Scandia Racing, dois com o Ferrari Club Italia e um com o MOMO Corsa. No final, apenas tr\u00eas F50 GTs foram conclu\u00eddos: o modelo de desenvolvimento e dois outros, que foram vendidos a particulares em troca de uma promessa de nunca os inscrever em qualquer competi\u00e7\u00e3o. Os outros tr\u00eas chassis foram destru\u00eddos. No entanto, ap\u00f3s o desaparecimento do FIA-GT1 ap\u00f3s apenas duas \u00e9pocas, tendo-se tornado demasiado caro e finalmente abandonado pelos construtores, a Ferrari regressou \u00e0s corridas de GT. Primeiro atrav\u00e9s de equipas privadas, que entraram no 550 Maranello concebido com a Prodrive no in\u00edcio dos anos 2000, e depois atrav\u00e9s de parcerias semi-privadas com v\u00e1rios graus de apoio oficial, como a AF Corse. O F360 Modena abriu o caminho para o sucesso, que continuou com o F430, o 488 e o 296 GTB. Durante mais de vinte anos, conquistaram in\u00fameros t\u00edtulos e vit\u00f3rias em todo o mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"UNICORN -
