Ao reduzir o n\u00famero de modelos de 200 para 10, a inten\u00e7\u00e3o da FIA era permitir que os construtores mostrassem o seu conhecimento tecnol\u00f3gico, produzindo verdadeiros prot\u00f3tipos de rali e utilizando materiais e solu\u00e7\u00f5es inovadoras. Por raz\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a, a FIA anunciou pouco tempo depois que uma flange limitaria a pot\u00eancia a 300 cv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O fruto de dois anos de intenso desenvolvimento, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/lancia\/\">Lancia<\/a> apresentou o Delta S4 em 1985, a sua nova arma para combater o Peugeot 205 T16. O S4 foi o primeiro carro com tra\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s 4 rodas da marca e apresentava um motor turbo e sobrealimentado. Mas a Abarth, que supervisionou o desenvolvimento do S4, j\u00e1 est\u00e1 a trabalhar num novo carro que se enquadraria neste Grupo S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A tecnologia da F1 chega aos ralis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O Scorpion optou por um chassis inovador, inspirado na F1, com uma estrutura em favo de mel utilizando alum\u00ednio e materiais comp\u00f3sitos, combinando kevlar e carbono, tudo montado com ep\u00f3xi. A utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de chassis monobloco comp\u00f3sitos estava ent\u00e3o a generalizar-se no desporto autom\u00f3vel, oferecendo simultaneamente maior leveza e maior estabilidade. Apenas a parte dianteira \u00e9 feita de tubos de a\u00e7o convencionais, para que possa ser reparada e substitu\u00edda mais rapidamente. Para tornar o autom\u00f3vel ainda mais leve, s\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m utilizados materiais comp\u00f3sitos no veio de transmiss\u00e3o e nas jantes, que s\u00e3o fabricados pela Speedline e pesam apenas 6 quilos!  A redu\u00e7\u00e3o de peso \u00e9 de 20% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o Delta S4 convencional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Triflux, o turbo revolucion\u00e1rio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sob a dire\u00e7\u00e3o de Claudio Lombardi, o prot\u00f3tipo ECV baseia-se no motor de 1,8 litros e 4 cilindros do S4, mas equipado com uma nova cabe\u00e7a de cilindro e dois turbos KKK com tempos de resposta mais r\u00e1pidos. A Lancia tamb\u00e9m inovou com um sistema denominado Triflux. A press\u00e3o atinge 2,3 <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bar_(unit%C3%A0_di_misura)\">bares<\/a> e desce para 1,8 bar quando se muda de velocidade. O autom\u00f3vel estava equipado com um <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cambio_(meccanica)\">caixa de<\/a> Caixa de 5 velocidades com embraiagens dianteiras. Foi utilizado um coletor \u00fanico para a admiss\u00e3o de ar, da\u00ed o nome Triflux. Nesta configura\u00e7\u00e3o, o motor debitou at\u00e9 600 cv \u00e0s 8000 rpm no banco de ensaios, e mesmo 800 cv em configura\u00e7\u00e3o \"asfalto\", muito para al\u00e9m dos limites fixados pela FIA. A sua velocidade m\u00e1xima \u00e9 de 230 km\/h e o tempo de 0 a 200 km\/h \u00e9 de 9 segundos! T\u00e3o bom como os supercarros actuais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ECV2, o \"K2000\" da Lancia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A besta foi apresentada no Sal\u00e3o Autom\u00f3vel de Bolonha de 1986. Infelizmente, a trag\u00e9dia da Volta \u00e0 C\u00f3rsega, com as mortes de Henri Toivonen e Sergio Cresto, marcou o fim n\u00e3o s\u00f3 dos Grupo B, mas tamb\u00e9m dos Grupo S que deveriam entrar em servi\u00e7o em 1988, preferindo a FIA avan\u00e7ar para uma categoria mais razo\u00e1vel, o Grupo A. Apesar disso, a Lancia n\u00e3o desistiu da sua investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e deu um passo em frente, desenvolvendo um ECV 2 que se afastava radicalmente do visual do S4. As grandes entradas de ar nos pilares traseiros, uma carater\u00edstica do Delta S4 e do ECV, foram substitu\u00eddas por uma ranhura na extremidade do tejadilho para canalizar o ar para o compartimento do motor. O capot dianteiro apresenta uma grande abertura dupla para permitir a sa\u00edda de ar ap\u00f3s o arrefecimento dos radiadores. O grande spoiler dianteiro liga-se \u00e0 grelha dianteira, enquanto os far\u00f3is t\u00eam uma carenagem. Nas laterais, as mini-saias melhoram a aerodin\u00e2mica lateral, enquanto as rodas est\u00e3o equipadas com discos exteriores, tamb\u00e9m em material comp\u00f3sito, que ajudam a arrefecer os trav\u00f5es. O capot apresenta duas sa\u00eddas de ar do radiador e uma entrada de ar NACA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Para a hist\u00f3ria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O ECV \u00e9, portanto, mais um projeto natimorto. A diferen\u00e7a \u00e9 que, desta vez, a raz\u00e3o reside nas altera\u00e7\u00f5es introduzidas pela FIA nos regulamentos e n\u00e3o na decis\u00e3o do construtor de desistir. Em vez de serem oficialmente inscritos no Campeonato do Mundo, os entusiastas afastaram o destino. Come\u00e7ando com o chassis de um Lancia Delta S4 e montando-o com os componentes de carbono e carro\u00e7aria originais do ECV, o tuner Giuseppe Volta reconstruiu um ECV1 em 2009, com a ajuda de antigos colegas da equipa de rali Abarth \/ Lancia em Turim.
