A poucos meses da entrada em vigor do regulamento de motores de 2026, que supostamente ir\u00e1 reordenar o baralho, uma decis\u00e3o da FIA poder\u00e1 ter o efeito contr\u00e1rio. Ao validar uma interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o-chave explorada pela Mercedes e retomada pela Red Bull Powertrains, a Federa\u00e7\u00e3o reconhece de facto uma potencial vantagem t\u00e9cnica... mesmo antes da primeira volta ao volante. Para a Ferrari, Audi e Honda, a conclus\u00e3o \u00e9 clara: a batalha para 2026 pode j\u00e1 ter sido perdida no papel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uma zona cinzenta torna-se uma linha oficial<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tudo come\u00e7ou com um pormenor nos novos regulamentos relativos \u00e0s unidades de pot\u00eancia para 2026. Para limitar os custos e controlar o desempenho, a FIA reduziu a taxa de compress\u00e3o m\u00e1xima do motor de combust\u00e3o para 16:1, em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com 18:1 anteriormente. Trata-se de uma limita\u00e7\u00e3o importante, dado que este par\u00e2metro \u00e9 determinante para a efic\u00e1cia e a pot\u00eancia. O problema fundamental \u00e9 que esta taxa de compress\u00e3o \u00e9 medida em ensaios est\u00e1ticos, com o motor frio e \u00e0 temperatura ambiente. A Mercedes desenvolveu uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica que explora a dilata\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9rmica dos componentes internos. Quando frio, o motor respeita escrupulosamente o limite de 16:1. Mas uma vez em condi\u00e7\u00f5es reais de funcionamento, a temperaturas elevadas, a geometria interna altera-se, reduzindo o volume da c\u00e2mara de combust\u00e3o e aumentando mecanicamente a taxa de compress\u00e3o real. At\u00e9 agora, a quest\u00e3o era simples: legal ou n\u00e3o? A resposta da FIA acaba de chegar e \u00e9 inequ\u00edvoca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De acordo com v\u00e1rias fontes corroborantes, incluindo o Motorsport.com, a Federa\u00e7\u00e3o deu luz verde: desde que a taxa de compress\u00e3o cumpra os testes est\u00e1ticos, o motor \u00e9 considerado legal, independentemente do seu comportamento a quente. Esta l\u00f3gica lembra estranhamente a utilizada para as asas flex\u00edveis, que foram autorizadas durante muito tempo porque passavam nos testes, apesar das suas deforma\u00e7\u00f5es evidentes em pista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uma vantagem potencialmente significativa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Em termos puramente t\u00e9cnicos, o ganho potencial est\u00e1 longe de ser aned\u00f3tico. As estimativas citadas no paddock colocam a pot\u00eancia extra em cerca de 10 kW, ou quase 13bhp. Num conjunto de regulamentos concebidos para congelar o desempenho e limitar a margem de desenvolvimento, um tal diferencial \u00e9 colossal. Nas simula\u00e7\u00f5es actuais dos monolugares de 2026, esta vantagem poderia representar entre tr\u00eas e quatro d\u00e9cimos por volta, dependendo do circuito. O suficiente para fixar uma hierarquia desde o in\u00edcio e obrigar os concorrentes a perseguir um d\u00e9fice estrutural. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ferrari, Audi e Honda enfrentam um muro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Este \u00e9 precisamente o cen\u00e1rio que a Ferrari, a Audi e a Honda estavam a tentar evitar. Na melhor das hip\u00f3teses, uma atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica n\u00e3o seria poss\u00edvel antes de 2027. Cada modifica\u00e7\u00e3o importante obriga a come\u00e7ar do zero os ensaios de dura\u00e7\u00e3o, em detrimento de outros dom\u00ednios de desenvolvimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dois campos, duas filosofias<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Por detr\u00e1s desta controv\u00e9rsia, as linhas de falha s\u00e3o claramente vis\u00edveis. De um lado, a Ferrari, a Audi e a Honda. Do outro, Mercedes e Red Bull Powertrains. Nada disto \u00e9 realmente surpreendente. O fabricante alem\u00e3o de motores j\u00e1 tinha esmagado a concorr\u00eancia no in\u00edcio da era dos h\u00edbridos em 2014, gra\u00e7as a um avan\u00e7o concetual decisivo. Estar \u00e0 frente do jogo faz parte do seu ADN. No que diz respeito \u00e0 Red Bull Powertrains, a equipa beneficiou muito do recrutamento de engenheiros da Mercedes, o que explica como esta interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o dos regulamentos p\u00f4de circular numa fase muito precoce e, acima de tudo, ter sido divulgada publicamente. O duelo n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 apenas na pista, mas tamb\u00e9m nos escrit\u00f3rios, nas interpreta\u00e7\u00f5es dos textos e nas margens dos regulamentos. A Ferrari j\u00e1 est\u00e1 a ser penalizada mesmo antes do primeiro Grande Pr\u00e9mio? A pergunta merece ser feita.
