Mas muito antes desta corrida aos SUVs de luxo, um fabricante italiano atreveu-se a ir ainda mais longe. Muito mais longe. Em 1988, a Bertone apresentou um conceito improv\u00e1vel: um monovolume equipado com um Lamborghini V12 de 455 cavalos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quando o MPV se torna o novo s\u00edmbolo da fam\u00edlia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No final dos anos 80, a paisagem autom\u00f3vel estava em plena muta\u00e7\u00e3o. Nos Estados Unidos, o MPV substitui progressivamente o ve\u00edculo familiar por excel\u00eancia. Modelos como o Dodge Caravan e o Plymouth Voyager redefiniram a no\u00e7\u00e3o de autom\u00f3vel pr\u00e1tico, espa\u00e7oso e vers\u00e1til. O fen\u00f3meno espalhou-se rapidamente pelo Atl\u00e2ntico e pela Europa nos anos que se seguiram. A Bertone est\u00e1 a acompanhar de perto esta tend\u00eancia. A casa de design italiana, fundada em 1912 e tornada lend\u00e1ria por Nuccio Bertone, sempre foi capaz de captar o esp\u00edrito dos tempos. Foi um choque para o mundo autom\u00f3vel. Para Bertone, a aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o foi uma fonte de preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o: a Chrysler tinha o seu pr\u00f3prio centro de design e a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de longa data com a Lamborghini parecia amea\u00e7ada. Foi neste contexto que nasceu uma ideia louca. Uma vez que os MPVs estavam na moda nos Estados Unidos e que a Lamborghini tinha lan\u00e7ado o LM002 alguns anos antes, porque n\u00e3o imaginar um Lamborghini MPV, destinado ao mercado americano, que combinasse a praticidade familiar com a mec\u00e2nica de um supercarro?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O projeto come\u00e7ou no final de 1987 sob a dire\u00e7\u00e3o de Marc Deschamps, ent\u00e3o chefe de design da Bertone. Contrariamente \u00e0 cren\u00e7a popular, a Lamborghini n\u00e3o estava oficialmente envolvida. A Bertone desenvolveu o conceito sozinha, na esperan\u00e7a de que o choque visual e t\u00e9cnico fosse suficiente para despertar o interesse dos decisores. Chamado Genesis, o conceito repensa completamente a est\u00e9tica do MPV. Dois bancos dianteiros est\u00e3o posicionados acima das cavas das rodas, enquanto tr\u00eas bancos adicionais est\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis na traseira. O banco central pode ser rebatido e o banco do passageiro da frente pode ser rodado 180 graus para ficar virado para o compartimento dos passageiros. O conjunto \u00e9 revestido a camur\u00e7a, com apoios de cabe\u00e7a com um design que lembra subtilmente os espelhos retrovisores do Countach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um Countach V12 num monovolume<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O Bertone Genesis foi apresentado ao p\u00fablico no Sal\u00e3o Autom\u00f3vel de Turim em abril de 1988. E embora o seu design fosse intrigante, foram sobretudo as suas especifica\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnicas que causaram sensa\u00e7\u00e3o. Sob o capot esconde-se um V12 de 5,2 litros derivado do Lamborghini Countach Quattrovalvole, que desenvolve 455 cavalos de pot\u00eancia e 500 Nm de bin\u00e1rio. A base t\u00e9cnica do conceito \u00e9 pr\u00f3xima da do Lamborghini Espada, cuja dist\u00e2ncia entre eixos de 2.650 mm \u00e9 assumida. A transmiss\u00e3o \u00e9 efectuada atrav\u00e9s de uma caixa autom\u00e1tica TorqueFlite de tr\u00eas velocidades, de origem Chrysler, j\u00e1 utilizada no Espada. Uma escolha pragm\u00e1tica, mas que limita claramente o potencial do motor. Com cerca de 1,8 toneladas na balan\u00e7a e com rela\u00e7\u00f5es de transmiss\u00e3o pouco adequadas, o Genesis n\u00e3o oferece, obviamente, o desempenho de um supercarro, apesar de o tempo de 0-100 km\/h ser de 6 segundos e a velocidade m\u00e1xima de 260 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/moteur-V12-lamborghini.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44591\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/moteur-V12-lamborghini.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/moteur-V12-lamborghini-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/moteur-V12-lamborghini-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/moteur-V12-lamborghini-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um conceito esquecido, mas um precursor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apesar do entusiasmo que causou em Turim, o Genesis n\u00e3o deu origem a nada de concreto. Nem a Lamborghini nem a Chrysler lhe deram seguimento. Para a Bertone, o conceito foi uma esp\u00e9cie de canto do cisne na sua rela\u00e7\u00e3o com a marca Bull. O construtor de carro\u00e7arias nunca mais voltaria a desenhar um Lamborghini de produ\u00e7\u00e3o. Durante d\u00e9cadas, o Genesis caiu no esquecimento. E, no entanto, em retrospetiva, ele aparece hoje como um surpreendente precursor. Muito antes do Urus e do Purosangue, Bertone j\u00e1 tinha percebido que havia um mercado para ve\u00edculos familiares ultra-exclusivos que podiam combinar espa\u00e7o, imagem e motores excepcionais.
