Imagine a fantasia: a Lancia n\u00e3o substituiu a FIAT no Campeonato Mundial de Ralis no in\u00edcio da d\u00e9cada de 1980. O 131 Abarth ainda estava em for\u00e7a, mas a Audi revolucionou os ralis com o Quattro. Depois surgiu a Peugeot com o seu pequeno 205, que demonstrou as vantagens dos carros pequenos em termos de peso e agilidade. A Fiat teve de reagir e, contra todas as expectativas, abandonou o Ritmo Abarth a favor de um Panda do Grupo B!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este del\u00edrio n\u00e3o est\u00e1 muito longe do projeto \u00fanico revelado pela M-Sport em 2021: O Panda by M-Sport. Um Fiat Panda 4\u00d74 radical preparado para os ralis. O verdadeiro Panda, gra\u00e7as \u00e0 sua famosa vers\u00e3o 4\u00d74, foi preparado para rally-raids, mas nunca de uma forma t\u00e3o extrema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quando pensamos na M-Sport, temos tend\u00eancia a pensar em Fords. O RS Cosworth, o Focus WRC, o Fiesta RS WRC e o Puma Rally 1, para n\u00e3o mencionar o R2\/R5, t\u00eam sa\u00eddo das oficinas da empresa de Malcolm Wilson desde 1997. O projeto do Panda 4\u00d74, no entanto, apresentava um desafio totalmente diferente: construir um ve\u00edculo \u00e0 medida de um cliente. A equipa de engenharia tomou como ponto de partida as funda\u00e7\u00f5es de um Fiesta R5 Mk1, o carro de competi\u00e7\u00e3o para clientes mais bem sucedido alguma vez produzido pela M-Sport.
