No entanto, quando foi lan\u00e7ada em 1984, esta berlina elegante e racional escondia, sob o seu aspeto discreto, uma inova\u00e7\u00e3o que poucos conhecem: um spoiler dianteiro retr\u00e1til, controlado automaticamente em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da velocidade. Entre a heran\u00e7a desportiva dos anos 70 e a chegada de novos padr\u00f5es de conforto, a marca procurava reinventar-se. O 90, apresentado em novembro de 1984 no Sal\u00e3o Autom\u00f3vel de Turim e desenhado por Bertone, baseava-se nos fundamentos t\u00e9cnicos do Alfetta, com uma arquitetura transaxial (motor \u00e0 frente, caixa de velocidades e eixo atr\u00e1s). Os motores de quatro cilindros variam de 1,8 a 2,0 litros (128 a 130 cv), enquanto as vers\u00f5es superiores recebem os nobres motores Busso V6 de 2,0 e 2,5 litros, que desenvolvem at\u00e9 156 cv. Este fracasso deve-se a v\u00e1rias raz\u00f5es:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Posicionamento pouco claro: entre o Alfetta que substituiu e o novo 75 (mais din\u00e2mico e menos dispendioso), o 90 n\u00e3o tinha uma promessa clara.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>O estilo era demasiado conservador: as linhas c\u00fabicas de Bertone n\u00e3o tinham o \"fator surpresa\" da Alfa e a traseira causava divis\u00f5es.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Um produto de compromisso: muitos elementos Alfetta no habit\u00e1culo, espa\u00e7o decente, mas n\u00e3o ao n\u00edvel dos rivais, e ergonomia confusa (comandos no teto, instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o LED em alguns).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imagem de fiabilidade enfraquecida: pequenas falhas el\u00e9ctricas\/electr\u00f3nicas, especialmente nas vers\u00f5es com painel de instrumentos digital.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A caixa de velocidades e o chassis s\u00e3o civilizados, tornando o carro t\u00e3o agrad\u00e1vel de conduzir como um grand tourer, mas oferecendo pouco em termos de sensa\u00e7\u00f5es \"puristas\" na produ\u00e7\u00e3o em s\u00e9rie, que \u00e9 o que os testes destacaram em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos rivais alem\u00e3es... e ao interior 75.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contexto industrial: a Alfa encontrava-se em dificuldades financeiras antes da aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o pela Fiat (1986), as actualiza\u00e7\u00f5es de marketing e de produtos eram limitadas.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Como resultado, apenas 56.328 exemplares do 90 foram produzidos entre 1984 e 1987, antes de serem substitu\u00eddos pelo mais moderno 164, um produto do grupo Fiat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um autom\u00f3vel inovador, discreto e esquecido<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No entanto, o 90 ostentava uma s\u00e9rie de carater\u00edsticas \u00fanicas, incluindo um spoiler dianteiro ativo, uma mala integrada, instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o digital em certos n\u00edveis de acabamento e, acima de tudo, o Busso V6 que o tornou t\u00e3o memor\u00e1vel.
