O autom\u00f3vel foi apresentado na Feira Mundial de Montreal de 1967, da\u00ed o seu nome, e tinha como objetivo reintroduzir um modelo de prest\u00edgio na gama Biscione. Giuseppe Busso explicou que, por raz\u00f5es or\u00e7amentais, o chassis espec\u00edfico inicialmente planeado foi abandonado e a Alfa Romeo recorreu ao chassis do coup\u00e9 Bertone GTV 2000 existente. Mas a dire\u00e7\u00e3o decidiu que um V8 era mais prestigiante. O motor tinha de caber no chassis do GTV coup\u00e9, o que significava elevar toda a linha de cintura, tal como a integra\u00e7\u00e3o das janelas laterais altamente curvas. O chassis baseava-se numa conce\u00e7\u00e3o ultrapassada, a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o do peso, claramente \u00e0 frente devido ao grande V8, tornava-o pouco \u00e1gil e subvirador, enquanto o sistema de travagem se revelava um pouco leve. Entre eles est\u00e1 a OKTech, de que fal\u00e1mos recentemente. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/alfa-romeo\/este-alfa-romeo-75-e-alimentado-por-um-v6-busso-com-500-cv-as-9000-rpm-o-mais-potente-do-mundo\/\">os Alfa Romeo 75 Busso e Bialbero sobrealimentados<\/a>. O seu nome? Montreal \"Flatplane\"? O que \u00e9 que significa? O nome refere-se a altera\u00e7\u00f5es substanciais no motor, que continua a ser um V8, mas desta vez a sua cilindrada foi aumentada para 3,3 litros. Esta configura\u00e7\u00e3o, largamente utilizada nos V8 de estrada, tinha a vantagem de produzir um motor mais suave e mais utiliz\u00e1vel no quotidiano do que um V8 com cambota de plano, solu\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica que foi utilizada no V8 do 33. Assim, fech\u00e1mos o c\u00edrculo com esta cambota de 3,3 litros, que d\u00e1 ao Montreal um motor com esp\u00edrito de corrida! Os \u00faltimos n\u00fameros publicados pela OKtech na sua rede social situam a pot\u00eancia em 350 cv, com uma velocidade m\u00e1xima de 9000 rpm.
