A Lotus e os outros construtores brit\u00e2nicos eram os mais ousados em termos de chassis e de conce\u00e7\u00e3o aerodin\u00e2mica (a arquitetura do motor central traseiro, os winglets, os pont\u00f5es, etc. foram introduzidos por eles), enquanto a Ferrari, mais conservadora neste dom\u00ednio, compensava com o seu saber-fazer em mat\u00e9ria de motores. A Ferrari costumava gozar com estes artes\u00e3os brit\u00e2nicos, a quem chamava desdenhosamente \"garagistas\", apesar de ser um construtor de pleno direito. Colin Chapman, em 1982, e depois Enzo Ferrari, em 1988, deixaram atr\u00e1s de si um enorme vazio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/ferrari\/a-ferrari-ganha-cada-vez-mais-dinheiro-por-cada-carro-vendido-e-podera-estabelecer-um-novo-recorde-em-2025\/\">A Ferrari est\u00e1 a bater novos recordes de vendas<\/a>Embora a Lotus tenha tido a sua quota-parte de crises de popularidade e de rentabilidade, teve crises existenciais mais profundas e est\u00e1 agora a tentar reinventar-se atrav\u00e9s da energia el\u00e9ctrica. Na \u00c1frica do Sul, foi desenvolvido um ve\u00edculo h\u00edbrido entre as duas marcas: \u00e9 de perguntar qual teria sido a rea\u00e7\u00e3o dos dois monstros sagrados a uma tal cria\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As subidas de montanha s\u00e3o o recreio preferido dos feiticeiros e, nalgumas categorias, h\u00e1 uma grande liberdade para dar largas aos seus desejos mec\u00e2nicos. O exemplo mais \u00f3bvio \u00e9 a pr\u00e1tica do \"swapping\", ou seja, a simples mudan\u00e7a do motor do carro de base, como vimos recentemente com o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/alfa-romeo\/dois-alfa-romeo-4c-com-670-cv-e-700-cv-disputam-a-vitoria-em-italia\/\">o Alfa Romeo 4C Picchio de 700 cv<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um motor com uma segunda vida<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dawie Joubert come\u00e7ou nos desportos motorizados na pista de arrancada, depois no Grupo N do Campeonato Sul-Africano de Carros de Produ\u00e7\u00e3o. Em 2001, comprou o seu primeiro Lotus: um Elise Motorsport, no qual iniciou convers\u00f5es. Na configura\u00e7\u00e3o de f\u00e1brica, o V8 twin-turbo desenvolve 661 cv \u00e0s 8.000 rpm e 760 Nm \u00e0s 3.000 rpm. O motor \u00e9 melhorado aqui, gra\u00e7as a algumas altera\u00e7\u00f5es nos turbocompressores IHI, um permutador de calor personalizado e uma gest\u00e3o revista: desenvolveria 765 cv em 2022 e 870 cv em 2023. Venceu a sua categoria e terminou em 2\u00ba lugar na geral, a apenas 1 segundo do tempo estabelecido por um monolugar.
