Por detr\u00e1s da apar\u00eancia de uma berlina de turismo vitaminada, encontrava-se, na realidade, uma esp\u00e9cie de monolugar com carro\u00e7aria, baseado num chassis tubular, mantendo o aspeto est\u00e9tico do modelo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o. A Alfa Romeo tinha desenvolvido um espetacular 164 Procar, equipado com o motor V10 originalmente desenvolvido para a F1, mas o projeto nunca chegou a ser concretizado, uma vez que o campeonato foi interrompido. Tudo o que restou foi uma demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o da berlina em Monza em 1988, nas m\u00e3os de Riccardo Patr\u00e8se.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O 156, a rainha dos 2 litros<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A Alfa Romeo teve ent\u00e3o a gl\u00f3ria do DTM com o 155 V6 Ti, campe\u00e3o em 1993. Quando o 156 foi lan\u00e7ado em 1996, o campeonato DTM, que se tinha tornado um ITC, estava \u00e0 beira do desaparecimento, devido \u00e0 subida em flecha dos custos e \u00e0 retirada dos construtores. No entanto, a berlina italiana prosseguiu a heran\u00e7a desportiva da Biscione na classe dos superturismos de 2 litros. O 156 GTA venceu quatro vezes consecutivas os Campeonatos Italiano e Europeu de Carros de Turismo, com os pilotos italianos Fabrizio Giovanardi e Gabriele Tarquini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No final dos anos 90, quando o DTM estava prestes a ressurgir das suas cinzas, a ideia de um campeonato de silhuetas ressurgiu. Uma empresa espanhola chamada RPM estava a trabalhar na cria\u00e7\u00e3o de um campeonato inspirado nos stock cars, o Campeonato Maxiturismo. A RPM encomendou \u00e0 Coloni a conce\u00e7\u00e3o de um chassis para todos os carros, no qual as equipas poderiam instalar o motor e a carro\u00e7aria da sua escolha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coloni, o antigo mi\u00fado da F1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Com o apoio de Christian Peruzzi, Diretor da Fiat, Alfa e Lancia na Alemanha, e com o aval da sede italiana, Coloni come\u00e7ou a desenhar um Alfa Romeo 156 para o Grupo E, um digno herdeiro do 164 Procar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vejamos um pouco da hist\u00f3ria da Scuderia Coloni, uma equipa fundada em 1982 por Enzo Coloni. Depois de vencer o campeonato italiano de F3, este outro Enzo embarcou na aventura da F1 em 1987, mas devido \u00e0 falta de recursos, a equipa permaneceu confinada ao fundo da grelha... quando conseguiu qualificar-se! At\u00e9 1991, a Scuderia Coloni tentou qualificar-se 82 vezes, mas s\u00f3 participou em 14 Grandes Pr\u00e9mios. Nessa altura, perante a infla\u00e7\u00e3o do n\u00famero de equipas (20 equipas e 41 inscri\u00e7\u00f5es em 1990!), a F1 introduziu as pr\u00e9-eliminat\u00f3rias. Ap\u00f3s o seu fracasso na F\u00f3rmula 1, Coloni experimenta as categorias inferiores, como a F\u00f3rmula 3000, a F\u00f3rmula 3 e a GP2, com resultados bastante satisfat\u00f3rios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Que cara! E que som!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-1.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-1-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Na mesma linha do Alfa Romeo 164 Procar, o 156 Coloni S1 utiliza a carro\u00e7aria da berlina citadina, mas com vias extra largas, pain\u00e9is em fibra de carbono e apenas duas portas. O visual \u00e9 espetacular, digno do 155 DTM. A remo\u00e7\u00e3o da sec\u00e7\u00e3o traseira, que se eleva como o 164 Procar, revela o motor numa posi\u00e7\u00e3o traseira central: um Alfa Romeo V6 de 3,0 litros com 380 cv, acoplado a uma caixa sequencial Hewland de seis velocidades. A suspens\u00e3o era composta por bra\u00e7os sobrepostos e amortecedores Eibach \u00e0 frente e atr\u00e1s. As jantes eram de 18 polegadas da OZ Racing, com trav\u00f5es de disco de carbono-cer\u00e2mica Brembo. O condutor sentava-se no meio, como num monolugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39577\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-4.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-4-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-4-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/alfa-romeo-156-coloni-4-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Na configura\u00e7\u00e3o de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o, a pot\u00eancia podia atingir os 500 cv \u00e0s 10.000 rpm, garantindo um som absolutamente fant\u00e1stico. Com um peso de apenas 900 quilos, o desempenho era espantoso, com um 0 a 100 em menos de 3 segundos e uma velocidade m\u00e1xima muito superior a 320 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sem seguimento, mais uma vez<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mas havia um problema: o pre\u00e7o. Na altura, um carro custava o equivalente a 300.000 d\u00f3lares americanos, sem contar com as infra-estruturas da pista. O 156 Coloni S1 deveria convencer as equipas e os construtores a participarem no Campeonato de Maxiturismo, mas ningu\u00e9m se manifestou porque os resultados e a visibilidade deste formato, centrado em Espanha, estavam longe de estar garantidos. \u00c9 pena, porque os duelos com o M\u00e9gane Trophy, na classe silhueta, teriam sido um verdadeiro prazer!
