Relan\u00e7ou a marca, dando origem ao Bugatti EB110, apresentado em 1991. Infelizmente, a recess\u00e3o econ\u00f3mica do in\u00edcio dos anos 90, as encomendas insuficientes e os profundos desacordos internos rapidamente mataram o projeto e a Bugatti Automobili SpA faliu em 1995, antes de o grupo Volkswagen comprar os direitos em 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O pai da F40 ao leme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ap\u00f3s a fal\u00eancia da Bugatti Automobili, um punhado de antigos funcion\u00e1rios formou uma nova empresa chamada B.Engineering,<\/strong> financiado principalmente por Jean-Marc Borel, antigo vice-presidente da Bugatti. A ideia inicial era desenvolver um concorrente para o Lotus Elise, mas os custos eram inimagin\u00e1veis. A outra op\u00e7\u00e3o? Partir da base do EB110 e produzir o derradeiro supercarro. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Quando os activos da Bugatti foram leiloados, a B.Engineering vendeu a Campogalliano uma parte do restante stock de pe\u00e7as utilizadas na produ\u00e7\u00e3o do EB110,<\/strong> incluindo motores e 17 monocascos inacabados.  A nova entidade come\u00e7ou a desenvolver um novo carro desportivo com o seu pr\u00f3prio nome, baseado no chassis do EB110. Entre os nomes envolvidos estavam Federico Trombi (antigo diretor de homologa\u00e7\u00e3o), Gianni Sighinolfi (antigo diretor das oficinas de desenvolvimento) e, sobretudo <strong>Nicola Materazzi, pai do Ferrari 288 GTO e do F40,<\/strong> que substituiu Paolo Stanzani e esteve envolvido na gesta\u00e7\u00e3o frustrada do EB110, antes de se demitir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Baseado no EB110, mas com uma forma aerodin\u00e2mica mais livre<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38783\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-1.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-1-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Concebido para proporcionar o m\u00e1ximo prazer de condu\u00e7\u00e3o, o supercarro tem o nome Edonis, que deriva da palavra grega \"Hedon\u00e9\", que significa prazer.<\/strong>\u00a0 Baseado no Bugatti EB110 Super Sport, tinha o mesmo chassis em fibra de carbono, mas com um estilo significativamente revisto. Gra\u00e7as \u00e0s boas rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre Materazzi e Scaglietti, este \u00faltimo direcionou a produ\u00e7\u00e3o da carro\u00e7aria dos dois primeiros prot\u00f3tipos para o alum\u00ednio, uma t\u00e9cnica que os artes\u00e3os de Modena utilizavam h\u00e1 d\u00e9cadas para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de baixo volume, de modo a reduzir os custos de ferramentas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"799\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/bugatti-eb110.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38787\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/bugatti-eb110.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/bugatti-eb110-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/bugatti-eb110-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/bugatti-eb110-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Bugatti EB110<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>No que diz respeito ao design, Marcello Gandini, o pai do Countach, Diabo e outros, j\u00e1 n\u00e3o \u00e9 o respons\u00e1vel. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/cizeta\/cizeta-moroder-v16t-o-verdadeiro-lamborghini-diablo-mas-com-dois-v8\/\">Cizeta-Moroder<\/a>Marc Deschamps, um designer belga da Bertone que desenhou o Lamborghni Jalpa apresentado no filme Rocky IV. <strong>Deschamps vingou-se assim, depois de o seu projeto para o EB110 n\u00e3o ter sido selecionado.<\/strong> O objetivo era claro: equipar o autom\u00f3vel com uma carro\u00e7aria aerodinamicamente avan\u00e7ada para atingir uma velocidade m\u00e1xima de 100 m\/s, ou 360 km\/h. Marc Deschamps p\u00f4de conceber o Edonis com menos restri\u00e7\u00f5es do que Gandini tinha para o EB110, dando-lhe maior liberdade, o que resultou num design altamente distinto e original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supercarro barroco<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"830\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38784\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-2.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-2-420x291.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-2-768x531.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-2-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>O Edonis afastou-se do design angular do seu carro original para adotar um design mais moderno e curvil\u00edneo. Os far\u00f3is, montados em asas proeminentes como no EB110, s\u00e3o encimados por condutas e assumem uma forma de boomerang, um completo afastamento dos blocos angulares das gera\u00e7\u00f5es anteriores de supercarros. Visto de frente, no entanto, o Edonis adopta um aspeto bastante estranho e at\u00edpico. Uma conduta de arrefecimento assim\u00e9trica entre os far\u00f3is ajuda a arrefecer os trav\u00f5es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38785\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-3.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-3-420x315.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-3-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-3-16x12.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A procura de efici\u00eancia aerodin\u00e2mica significa que n\u00e3o existem ap\u00eandices inest\u00e9ticos e, de perfil, o Edonis \u00e9 uma seta bonita e esguia.<\/strong> O autom\u00f3vel tem uma traseira larga, com grandes aberturas para arrefecer o motor, e luzes traseiras integradas nas duas grelhas laterais. Um pequeno spoiler traseiro fixo ajuda a gerar for\u00e7a descendente. O interior \u00e9 igualmente ex\u00f3tico e at\u00edpico, com uma profus\u00e3o de contadores e molduras arredondadas na consola, que assume uma forma curva que se estende desde o cockpit at\u00e9 ao t\u00fanel central! A ergonomia n\u00e3o \u00e9 claramente a prioridade deste interior extravagante. Nas suas entrevistas, Materazzi explica que a carro\u00e7aria foi realizada muito rapidamente, em 47 dias, tendo os para-choques sido recebidos em meados de novembro, apenas um m\u00eas e meio antes da apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o prevista para o dia de Ano Novo de 2001. Sim, o Edonis queria ser o primeiro autom\u00f3vel do s\u00e9culo XXI!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um motor revisto<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante o desenvolvimento do EB110, Materazzi nunca esteve convencido da efic\u00e1cia dos quatro turbocompressores e do sistema de tra\u00e7\u00e3o integral, afirmando frequentemente que era uma forma de \"tornar o f\u00e1cil dif\u00edcil adoptando o desnecess\u00e1rio\". <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-moteur.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38788\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-moteur.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-moteur-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-moteur-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-moteur-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Para o Edonis, a cilindrada do motor foi ligeiramente aumentada de 3,5 para 3,76 litros e os quatro pequenos turbocompressores IHI foram substitu\u00eddos por duas unidades IHI maiores: isto foi menos marcante do ponto de vista do marketing, mas mais eficiente, dando mais flexibilidade a baixas rota\u00e7\u00f5es e menos in\u00e9rcia na entrega da pot\u00eancia injectada pelo turbo. O motor modificado gera 680 cv \u00e0s 8.000 rpm e 735 Nm de bin\u00e1rio \u00e0s 3.200 rpm. O sistema de tra\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s quatro rodas utilizado no EB110 \u00e9 substitu\u00eddo por um sistema de tra\u00e7\u00e3o traseira que reduz o peso em 70 kg. A caixa de velocidades EB110, integrada no motor, foi mantida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um supercarro sem \"cretinices modernas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Com quase 700 cv para apenas 1.300 kg, o Edonis apresenta uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o peso-pot\u00eancia de 480 cv\/tonelada e uma pot\u00eancia espec\u00edfica do motor de 181 cv\/litro.<\/strong> Sem qualquer tipo de assist\u00eancia e com \"todas as cretinices modernas\", parafraseando Materazzi, para al\u00e9m do ABS, n\u00e3o \u00e9 um carro para ser colocado nas m\u00e3os de qualquer um. No papel, o carro ostenta uma velocidade m\u00e1xima de 365 km\/h e pode acelerar dos 0 aos 100 km\/h em 3,9 segundos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"788\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38786\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-4.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-4-420x276.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-4-768x504.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/edonis-4-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Para aqueles que tiveram a sorte de o testar, o seu car\u00e1cter era excecional e as suas qualidades din\u00e2micas superiores \u00e0s refer\u00eancias do seu tempo. Talvez um dos \u00faltimos exemplares de uma ra\u00e7a de supercarros que desapareceu definitivamente com a ascens\u00e3o da eletr\u00f3nica e a transfer\u00eancia de tecnologia da F1 para a estrada. No ver\u00e3o de 2002, a revista francesa Sport-Auto organizou uma compara\u00e7\u00e3o de supercarros no circuito de Nardo, na Ap\u00falia. O vencedor foi o Edonis de 715 cv, equipado com pneus Michelin Pax System, que estabeleceu um recorde de velocidade no circuito de 359,6 km\/h.
