Desde a sua abertura em 1972, especializou-se no fabrico de motores como, atualmente, o FIRE, o 2.0 GME de 4 cilindros, o 2.9L V6 (e provavelmente o 3.0L V6 Nettuno). <strong>A f\u00e1brica estava destinada a tornar-se uma Giga-f\u00e1brica de baterias <\/strong>de acordo com o plano Dare Forward 2030 de Stellantis. Mas a situa\u00e7\u00e3o tomou um rumo surpreendente quando, no espa\u00e7o de alguns dias, o projeto da Giga-f\u00e1brica foi interrompido, seguido do lan\u00e7amento do novo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Um futuro incerto para Termoli<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Em mar\u00e7o de 2022, a Stellantis anunciou um <strong>projeto ambicioso para transformar a f\u00e1brica de Termoli numa f\u00e1brica de giga-baterias<\/strong>. O comunicado de imprensa indicava que a Stellantis, em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com a empresa franco-alem\u00e3 Automotive Cells Company (ACC) (da qual o Grupo \u00e9 o principal acionista), planeava <strong>construir uma terceira unidade de produ\u00e7\u00e3o de pilhas em Termoli<\/strong>. Com parceiros como a Mercedes-Benz e a TotalEnergies\/Saft, a ACC tem como objetivo uma capacidade de produ\u00e7\u00e3o de, pelo menos, 120 gigawatts-hora (GWh) at\u00e9 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carlos Tavares, Diretor-Geral da Stellantis, sublinhou que <strong>a import\u00e2ncia deste investimento para garantir o futuro da comunidade de Termoli.<\/strong> A transforma\u00e7\u00e3o da f\u00e1brica destinava-se a contribuir para um futuro mais sustent\u00e1vel, posicionando a ACC como l\u00edder europeu na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de baterias e afirmando o papel da It\u00e1lia nesta transi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uma pausa inesperada para as f\u00e1bricas Giga<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No entanto, no in\u00edcio de junho, <strong>A ACC anunciou a suspens\u00e3o da constru\u00e7\u00e3o de duas das suas f\u00e1bricas Giga<\/strong>incluindo Termoli. A empresa comum decidiu suspender estes projectos devido \u00e0 diminui\u00e7\u00e3o da procura de ve\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos na Europa e aos elevados custos de produ\u00e7\u00e3o. A unidade de Kaiserslautern, na Alemanha, e a unidade de Termoli, em It\u00e1lia, cujo in\u00edcio de produ\u00e7\u00e3o estava inicialmente previsto para 2025 e 2026, respetivamente, viram os seus calend\u00e1rios postos em causa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Esta situa\u00e7\u00e3o poderia ter sido catastr\u00f3fica para Termoli,<\/strong> que se viu confrontada com o decl\u00ednio da produ\u00e7\u00e3o de motores de combust\u00e3o interna e com o cancelamento de uma f\u00e1brica de baterias Giga. No entanto, surgiu uma nova oportunidade com o lan\u00e7amento do novo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido salva o dia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>O <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/pt\/fiat\/novo-fiat-500-hibrido-motor-plataforma-preco-data-tudo-revelado\/\">novo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido<\/a> chega na altura certa para salvar a f\u00e1brica de Termoli<\/strong>. A f\u00e1brica polaca da FIAT Powertrain em Bielska, que produz motores Fire para o antigo Fiat 500 desde 2007, encerrar\u00e1 no final de 2024. O an\u00fancio de que o novo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido ser\u00e1 produzido em It\u00e1lia, na f\u00e1brica de Mirafiori, significa que os motores de combust\u00e3o interna continuar\u00e3o a ser produzidos em Termoli pelo menos at\u00e9 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta nova dire\u00e7\u00e3o <strong>constitui uma pausa bem-vinda para a f\u00e1brica de Termoli,<\/strong> garantindo os postos de trabalho e a continuidade da produ\u00e7\u00e3o. Enquanto a Stellantis ajusta as suas estrat\u00e9gias para responder \u00e0s flutua\u00e7\u00f5es do mercado dos ve\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos, o regresso \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o de motores h\u00edbridos para o Fiat 500 assegura a estabilidade tempor\u00e1ria e a continuidade da f\u00e1brica italiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enquanto os planos para uma Giga-f\u00e1brica de baterias est\u00e3o em suspenso, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de motores de combust\u00e3o interna para este modelo ic\u00f3nico permite \u00e0 Termoli manter a sua atividade e continuar a desempenhar um papel fundamental na ind\u00fastria autom\u00f3vel italiana.
