Voor de oorlog ontwikkelde de Scuderia Ferrari een monsterlijke <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/alfa-romeo\/alfa-romeo-bimotore-16-c-toen-enzo-ferrari-wilde-reageren-op-de-overmachtige-duitse-machines-met-twee-540-pk-8-cilinders\/\">16C-35 racen<\/a>, die bijna 600 pk leverde en snelheidsrecords vestigde op de snelweg. Veel later kwam Wainer met een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/alfa-romeo\/alfasud-wainer-bimotore-toen-alfa-romeo-zich-een-vierwielaandrijving-met-twee-motoren-voorstelde\/\">Alfasud 4\u00d74 met twee motoren<\/a>, om nog maar te zwijgen van het vergezochte project van een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/alfa-romeo\/deze-bestuurder-installeerde-twee-v6-busso-motoren-in-een-alfa-romeo-164-en-de-passagier-kwam-er-spookwit-uit\/\">164 Bimotore<\/a> in Engeland. Maar wist je dat de GTV 916 ook werd onderworpen aan dit Frankenstein-achtige experiment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een tijdloze potloodstreek<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ontworpen door Enrico Fumia van carrosseriebouwer Pininfarina. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/autos\/alfa-romeo-gtv-916\/\">GTV<\/a> werd in 1994 getoond op de Autosalon van Parijs. Hij werd in 1995 verkocht en bleef in productie tot 2006, toen hij werd vervangen door de Brera. Het was de laatste auto die werd geproduceerd in de beroemde Alfa Romeo Arese fabriek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/alfa-romeo-gtv-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48612\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/alfa-romeo-gtv-1.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/alfa-romeo-gtv-1-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/alfa-romeo-gtv-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/alfa-romeo-gtv-1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Alfa Romeo GTV Fase 1<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>De elegante, lage en brede GTV wordt beschouwd als een \u201cmini Ferrari\u201d, met agressieve lijnen, een voorruit en <a>een zeer schuine bezel<\/a>. Hij is herkenbaar aan de kenmerkende \u00abV\u00bb op de motorkap, die zich uitstrekt van de voorruitstijlen tot de typische grillebadge van Alfa Romeo, de scudetto. Dit handelsmerk zou later verschijnen op de 8C, Mito en zelfs de Giulietta. De flanken worden gekenmerkt door een diepe rib die omhoog loopt naar de achtersteven, waardoor het sportieve karakter van de auto nog meer wordt benadrukt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een lappendeken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/gtv-bimotore-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50051\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/gtv-bimotore-2.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/gtv-bimotore-2-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/gtv-bimotore-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/gtv-bimotore-2-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>De GTV die je hier ziet is een tweemotorige auto, geprepareerd door het Nederlandse bedrijf Squadra-Tuning. Het resultaat? Bijna 490 pk en meer dan 500 Nm koppel! In theorie kan hij 295 km\/u halen bij 9000 toeren\/min, maar de eigenaar geeft zelf toe dat hij het nog niet echt heeft geprobeerd...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een opmerkelijk stukje werk en een knap staaltje techniek<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Voor de synchronisatie zijn de motoren gecombineerd met twee handgeschakelde vijfversnellingsbakken, zelf afgeleid van de Lancia Kappa 2.4 JTD! De koeling aan de achterzijde wordt verzorgd door een opening in de motorkap en een vleugel die de luchtstroom naar de radiateur leidt.
