Onder hen een aantal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/ferrari\/\">Ferrari<\/a>, De onderhoudskosten zijn niet onaanzienlijk. De onderhoudskosten zijn niet onaanzienlijk...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eerbetoon aan onverschrokken Villeneuve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De F-serie, waaronder de 3-liter F1-auto's vallen die tussen 1977 en 1980 zijn gebouwd, heet \u201cGilles Villeneuve\u201d. Het zou dus onlogisch zijn om geen auto van de Canadees te zien. Maar goed ook, in een veld dat gedomineerd werd door Angelsaksische auto's (Hesketh, Williams, Lotus, enz.), stond een van Villeneuves ex-Ferrari's opgesteld: de 312 T5 uit 1980, in de straten van het Prinsdom bestuurd door Juergen Boden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/312T5-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/312T5-1.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/312T5-1-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/312T5-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/312T5-1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto Nicolas Anderbegani voor Italpassion<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De 312T serie, de winnende machine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Als we het hebben over de 312T serie (de T verwijst naar de transversale positie van de versnellingsbak), hebben we het over een van de meest succesvolle periodes in de F1 geschiedenis van de Scuderia: de constructeurstitel in 1975, 1976, 1977 en 1979, evenals de coureurstitels in 1975 en 1977 voor Niki Lauda, en 1979 voor Jody Scheckter. Ferrari kon ook vertrouwen op een absoluut wapen, de fantastische 12-cilinder vlakke motor (180\u00b0) die meer dan 500 pk ontwikkelde bij 12.500 tpm en daarmee de Cosworth V8 ver achter zich liet. Het werk was beperkt tot een herziening van de ophanging en de remmen, terwijl de andere teams, zoals Williams en Ligier, hun eenzitters aanzienlijk hadden ontwikkeld.  Het chassis, dat bestond uit lichtmetalen verstevigingen en aluminium panelen, begon er gedateerd uit te zien nu composietmaterialen steeds populairder werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ferrari werd ook gehinderd door de architectuur van haar motor, de 12-cilinder flat, waardoor ze het ground effect fenomeen dat Lotus een paar jaar eerder introduceerde niet volledig kon benutten. Het slechtste seizoen in de geschiedenis van de Scuderia! Gilles Villeneuve scoorde slechts 6 punten en Scheckter 2 punten, met zelfs een niet-kwalificatie in de VS! Ferrari eindigde als 9e en voorlaatste in de constructeursstand! De 312T5 werd vrijwel niet verder ontwikkeld, maar met reden: 1980 stond vooral in het teken van het ontwerp van de 126CK, Ferrari's eerste eenzitter met turbomotor. Het succes van Renault met deze technologie overtuigde Ferrari ervan om haar schouders eronder te zetten, waarbij de 312T5 werd opgeofferd.
