De Stellantis vestiging in Spanje bereidt zich voor op een productie van 600.000 voertuigen - een historisch record - op een moment dat de Europese automarkt allesbehalve florissant is. Dit cijfer is des te spectaculairder omdat het Vigo in een bijna hegemoniale positie plaatst binnen de Groep. Op zichzelf zal de fabriek bijna evenveel produceren als alle vijf Franse vestigingen samen. Belangrijker nog, ze zal twee keer zoveel produceren als heel Itali\u00eb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na een gecompliceerde eerste helft van het jaar, gekenmerkt door een vertraging op de Duitse markt en spanningen in de toelevering, draaide de Vigo-machine aan het eind van de zomer weer op volle toeren. Vandaag de dag verlaat elke minuut een auto de productielijnen. Vier ploegen, meer dan 2000 voertuigen per dag, een tempo dat maar weinig Europese vestigingen kunnen evenaren. Dit succes is gebaseerd op verschillende pijlers: de commerci\u00eble kracht van Peugeot 2008, de aanhoudende vraag naar lichte bedrijfsvoertuigen van verschillende merken en energiekosten die veel concurrerender zijn dan in Frankrijk of Itali\u00eb. Vigo is niet alleen een goed presterende fabriek, het is het kloppende industri\u00eble hart van Stellantis in Europa geworden.s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frankrijk vertraagt zonder in te storten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In Frankrijk is het beeld heel anders. Minder brutaal, maar net zo veelzeggend over een diepgaande verandering. Volgens de vakbonden en verschillende interne documenten, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/stellantis\/\">Stellantis<\/a> voorspelt een daling van de Franse productie met ongeveer 11 % tussen nu en 2028. Een geleidelijke maar zeer re\u00eble daling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De vijf grootste vestigingen in Frankrijk zullen de komende drie jaar onder de grens van 600.000 voertuigen zakken. De fabriek in Poissy is momenteel het middelpunt van de bezorgdheid, met een vertraging van de activiteit, verouderende modellen en een onduidelijke industri\u00eble toekomst. Hoewel het management zijn best doet om gerust te stellen, is het onbehagen voelbaar. Deze vertraging maakt deel uit van een bredere strategie die wordt gedicteerd door de nieuwe baas van de Groep, Antonio Filosa, die de strategie voor elektrische voertuigen uit het tijdperk Tavares radicaal heeft herzien. Er wordt nu voorrang gegeven aan verbrandings- en hybride aandrijflijnen, ten nadele van volledig elektrische. Deze strategische ommezwaai heeft bepaalde markten gestabiliseerd, maar heeft Frankrijk in een ongemakkelijke positie gebracht: noch een ramp, noch een winnaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Itali\u00eb in de industri\u00eble rode zone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De situatie is het meest kritiek in Itali\u00eb. De cijfers zijn grimmig. In het derde kwartaal van 2025 daalde de productie met meer dan 31 % en het volledige jaar zal naar verwachting eindigen op ongeveer 310.000 voertuigen. De productie is in vijftien jaar gehalveerd. Erger nog, de productie van personenauto's kan dalen tot onder de 200.000 eenheden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alle grote Italiaanse fabrieken werden getroffen. Mirafiori is chronisch onderactief, met hele dagen zonder productie. De Maserati-lijnen staan stil, Cassino heeft zijn slechtste jaar ooit achter de rug, Melfi heeft bijna 90 % van zijn volumes verloren in vergelijking met het pre-Covid tijdperk, Pomigliano is nu bijna uitsluitend afhankelijk van de Panda, terwijl Atessa lijdt onder de scherpe daling van de verkoop van lichte bedrijfsvoertuigen. Het directe gevolg is sociaal: bijna de helft van de Italiaanse werknemers van de groep heeft nu te maken met werktijdverkorting of solidariteitsregelingen. Een hele industrie in apneu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tegen deze sombere achtergrond is Itali\u00eb niet geheel zonder vooruitzichten. Drie kortetermijnprojecten bieden nog hoop op een opleving. In Melfi wordt verwacht dat de nieuwe Jeep Compass, ook verkrijgbaar als hybride, een hefboom zal zijn voor industrieel herstel. In Pomigliano d'Arco wordt verwacht dat de restyling van de Alfa Romeo Tonale de volumes zal doen toenemen. In Mirafiori zou de lancering van de Fiat 500 hybride het begin kunnen zijn van een geleidelijk herstel. Maar deze projecten zijn bescheiden in vergelijking met de omvang van de daling. Ze zijn op zichzelf niet genoeg om jaren van desinvestering, grillige strategische beslissingen en verloren industri\u00eble weddenschappen goed te maken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Midden 2026: het grote oordeel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Heel industrieel Itali\u00eb wacht nu op \u00e9\u00e9n ding: het door Antonio Filosa beloofde industri\u00eble plan, gepland voor medio 2026. Dit wordt de ultieme geloofwaardigheidstest voor Stellantis. Met de Gigafactory in Termoli in de wacht, de toekomst van Maserati nog steeds onzeker, vertraagde investeringen en uitgestelde platforms, hebben de signalen van de afgelopen jaren het vertrouwen van werknemers, onderaannemers en lokale gemeenschappen grotendeels ondermijnd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De kloof tussen Spanje en Itali\u00eb is niet langer alleen een kwestie van productiviteit. Het is politiek, strategisch, bijna symbolisch geworden. Terwijl Vigo op volle toeren draait, staat Itali\u00eb stil.
