Helaas wekte de Italiaanse schoonheid niet hetzelfde enthousiasme op als de oudere QV's, die meer karakter op de weg hadden en vooral waren uitgerust met de fantastische Busso V6. De Giulietta kreeg in ieder geval geen GTA-versie, zoals zijn voorganger, de 147, en kon niet echt concurreren met rivalen als de Golf GTi, de M\u00e9gane RS of de Focus RS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De aerodynamische kit voor de Giulia GTAm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Laat maar, tuners zijn er om wensen uit te laten komen en fantasie\u00ebn te vervullen die fabrikanten, beperkt door economische eisen, soms niet kunnen realiseren. De Italianen van D.B ECU service, die al eerder werkten aan een 450 pk sterke Abarth 695, hebben dit keer een 'Giulietta GTAm' bedacht, die de Giulietta probeert te combineren met elementen van de moderne Giulia GTAm. Het resultaat is dat de compacte sedan ingrijpende wijzigingen heeft ondergaan, zowel esthetisch als mechanisch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" met zijn carbon vinnen en flappen, evenals diverse carbon inzetstukken op de motorkap, een carbon achterklepspoiler, zijskirts vergelijkbaar met die van de Giulia GTAm, gouden velgen, 330 mm Brembo-remmen en een lompe diffuser met een opnieuw gerichte dubbele uitlaat. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supertoeristische sfeer binnen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het interieur is ook aangepast, met carbon elementen (dashboard, middenconsole), een versnellingspook in racestijl met rode hendel, een infotainmentscherm met bediening op het stuur en vooral een serie van drie meters aan de passagierskant, die naar de bestuurder gericht zijn en allerlei technische informatie geven, zoals het turboboostniveau en de temperatuur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"731\" ook een tweezitter geworden, want het achterste deel van het passagierscompartiment is omgebouwd voor de racerij met de installatie van een rolkooi in competitiestijl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een getransformeerde 1.4 TJET-motor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De aandrijflijn heeft er ook niets mee te maken. De naam GTAm kan misleidend zijn, want de Giulietta heeft niet de 2,9-liter twin-turbo V6 van de Giulia GTAm. De motor kreeg versterkte zuigers, een versterkt en lichter vliegwiel, een grote Garrett turbo en een compleet herzien koel- en brandstofsysteem.
