Auto's met <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/lancia\/\">Lancia<\/a>Alfa Romeo en Ferrari belichaamden een tijdperk waarin technologie flirtte met passie. En te midden van dit alles werd een discrete, elegante maar angstaanjagend innovatieve sedan, zonder dat iemand het zich op dat moment realiseerde, de eerste productieauto die gehomologeerd werd met actieve aerodynamica. Onder de motorkap lag een 2,9-liter V8 die rechtstreeks was afgeleid van de Ferrari 308 Quattrovalvole, licht aangepast voor een flexibelere en beschaafdere rijstijl. Zijn weggedrag, zachter dan dat van een Ferrari, deed niets af aan zijn karakter: acceleratie van 0 naar 100 km\/u in 6,8 seconden en een topsnelheid van bijna 240 km\/u. De stabiliteit bij hoge snelheden verbeteren door de druk op de achteras te verhogen. Zodra de snelheid werd verlaagd, of op een eenvoudig commando, trok de spoiler zich terug in de bagageruimte en nam hij zijn elegante, perfect ge\u00efntegreerde vorm weer aan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit eenvoudige maar innovatieve apparaat maakte van de Thema 8.32 de eerste wegauto ter wereld met een mobiel aerodynamisch element. De actieve aerodynamica van de Thema 8.32 lijkt nu misschien primitief, maar het basisidee was revolutionair voor die tijd: de carrosserie aanpassen aan de snelheid om de stabiliteit en prestaties te optimaliseren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er zijn ooit maar 3.500 exemplaren van de Lancia Thema 8.32 geproduceerd en velen beseffen nog steeds niet dat ze een stukje technologische geschiedenis in handen hebben.
