Achter de nuchtere aankondiging schuilt een complexe realiteit die bestaat uit strategische fouten, technische uitdagingen, riskante keuzes en vertrekken die de ondergang van het programma hebben bespoedigd. Hier zijn de echte redenen achter deze voortijdige stopzetting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een kwetsbaar technisch programma vanaf het begin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lamborghini is nooit een grote speler geweest in de prototypecompetitie. Het SC63-programma, dat in 2023 werd onthuld, moest het merk via het LMDh-platform naar de endurance-elite loodsen. Maar vanaf het begin stuitte het project op een aantal beperkingen: weigering van grote chassisleveranciers (Dallara, Oreca, Multimatic) en de standaardkeuze voor Ligier. Wat de motor betreft, woog een betrouwbare maar zware twin-turbo V8, ontwikkeld met Autotecnica Motori (net als voor de Huracan GT3), zwaar op de technische balans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oreca: Acura, Alpine, Hyundai, Ford<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dallara: BMW, Cadillac, Mclaren<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mutimatic : Porsche<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ligier: Lamborghini<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alliance daarna scheiding met Iron Lynx<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De echte drijvende kracht achter het project was Iron Lynx. Het team was niet alleen een sportieve partner, maar zorgde ook voor de financiering. Het stelde Lamborghini in staat om aanspraak te maken op een fabrieksprogramma, zonder de kolossale kosten van een WEC\/IMSA-seizoen zelf te hoeven dragen. We weten nu dat de scheiding met Iron Lynx, tegen een achtergrond van wisselende resultaten en interne spanningen, fataal was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een mat optreden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De SC63 werd laat in de competitie gelanceerd (hij nam niet deel aan Daytona 2024) en werd geplaagd door problemen: crashes tijdens de ontwikkeling, vertragingen bij de onderdelen en wisselende mechanische betrouwbaarheid. Het eerste seizoen in het WEC kende twee uitvallers en een 10e plaats in de beste race. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/wedstrijd\/imsa\/\">IMSA<\/a>Het beste resultaat was de 7e plaats. Geen schande voor een eerste jaar, maar niet genoeg om nieuwe partners te overtuigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regelwijziging voor WEC, reddingspoging in IMSA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tegen 2025 zal de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/wedstrijd\/wec\/\">WEC<\/a> vereist twee auto's per fabrikant. Voor Lamborghini, zonder zijn belangrijkste partner, betekent dit een verdubbeling van het budget. Een onhoudbaar vooruitzicht voor een merk dat niet alles op autosport wil inzetten. De keuze was snel gemaakt: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/wedstrijd\/lamborghini-neemt-een-radicale-beslissing-over-zijn-hypercar-die-niet-zal-deelnemen-aan-het-wec-2025-kampioenschap\/\">de WEC verlaten<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025 keerde Lamborghini alleen terug naar de IMSA Endurance Cup. Bij afwezigheid van Iron Lynx vertrouwde het de operatie tegen betaling toe aan Riley Motorsports. Maar zonder overtuigende resultaten en zonder serieuze partner voor 2026, viel het mes. Lamborghini kondigde een 'pauze' aan in het IMSA GTP-programma. In autosporttaal betekent dit vaak 'het einde van het project'.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De auto zal deelnemen aan twee laatste races in 2025 (Indianapolis en Petit Le Mans), met een aantal technische upgrades (met name aan de achterwielophanging). Het trio Grosjean, Kvyat en Bortolotti zal proberen de reputatie van de auto te herstellen. Maar voor hen ligt de toekomst elders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lamborghini richt zich op raceklanten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het bedrijf uit Sant'Agata concentreert zich weer op zijn solide basis: GT3 en Super Trofeo. Het nieuwe model <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/lamborghini\/lamborghini-onthult-zijn-formidabele-temerario-gt3-een-benchmark-voor-zijn-rivalen\/\">Temerario GT3<\/a>De Lamborghini Motorsport-strategie, die intern is ontwikkeld, zal de toekomst van Lamborghini Motorsport vormgeven. Een strategie die winstgevender en gecontroleerder is en beter aansluit op de commerci\u00eble ambities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lamborghini is niet de eerste die zich terugtrekt uit een hypercarprogramma, maar wel de eerste grote fabrikant die dat doet. Achter deze terugtrekking schuilt een cocktail van verkeerde inschattingen, financi\u00eble afhankelijkheid en onderschatte technische realiteiten. In plaats van zich in te graven, gaf het merk er de voorkeur aan zijn verliezen te beperken.
