Deze werd in 1969 opgevolgd door de 246 GT en won aan cilinderinhoud (2,4 liter) en vermogen (195 pk), maar bleef ver achter bij de prestaties van de Ferrari V12. Enzo Ferrari besloot destijds om hem Dino te noemen in plaats van Ferrari, als eerbetoon aan zijn overleden zoon Alfredo 'Dino' Ferrari, die had bijgedragen aan de ontwikkeling van de V6-motor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Velen houden ervan vanwege de stijl, de geschiedenis. De aluminium carrosserie, gespoten in een prachtig diep metallic blauw, is met de hand gemaakt volgens traditionele methoden, tot in het kleinste detail. Dit is verre van een eenvoudig restauratieproject: hier is over elk onderdeel nagedacht, het is getest en aangepast en het geheel straalt kwaliteit uit. Hij is vervangen door een uitgebreid gemodificeerd Ferrari 328 V8-blok. Opgeschaald naar 3,8 liter, uitgerust met titanium drijfstangen, lichtere zuigers, moderne brandstofinjectie, elektronisch management van de laatste generatie en een TubiStyle uitlaatsysteem, transformeert deze motor de auto zonder zijn karakter te veranderen.
