De aankondiging, gedaan op 16 juli 2025, markeert een radicale verschuiving in de strategie van het autoconcern. Ondanks de ambities in het plan Dare Forward 2030 maakt waterstof niet langer deel uit van de toekomst van Stellantis. Voortaan speelt de toekomst zich af tussen hybride verbrandingsmotoren en elektrische 100 %'s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Voortijdig einde van een ambitieus programma<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In zijn strategisch plan Dare Forward 2030 stelde Stellantis zich tot doel om tegen 2024 10.000 bedrijfsvoertuigen op waterstof per jaar te produceren, met een pick-up op waterstof in het vizier na 2025. Het doel was duidelijk: een koolstofarm alternatief bieden voor professionals die een grotere actieradius en snelle oplaadtijden nodig hebben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"605\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39875\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-1.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-1-420x212.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-1-768x387.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-1-18x9.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>De commerci\u00eble lancering van de Fiat Ducato Hydrogen, eind 2024, bood zelfs een glimp van de eerste concrete uiting van deze ambities. Maar enkele maanden na de lancering kwam het project abrupt tot stilstand. Stellantis annuleert de uitrol van het volledige waterstofaangedreven Pro One-gamma, dat deze zomer in productie zou gaan in Hordain (Frankrijk) voor middelgrote bestelwagens en in Gliwice (Polen) voor grotere modellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39876\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-2.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-2-420x236.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/stellantis-hydrogene-2-18x10.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Economische en structurele redenen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De redenen zijn duidelijk: gebrek aan tankinfrastructuur, buitensporige investeringskosten en gebrek aan winstgevendheid op middellange termijn. Voor Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO Europa van de Stellantis Group:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" class=\"icon icon-quote\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\"><use xlink:href=\"#icon-quote\"><\/use><\/svg>\n<p>\"De waterstofmarkt blijft een nichesegment, zonder vooruitzicht op economische winstgevendheid op middellange termijn. We moeten duidelijke en verantwoorde keuzes maken om ons concurrentievermogen te garanderen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Gezien de dringende CO2-doelstellingen en de concurrentiedruk geeft Stellantis de voorkeur aan beproefde technologie\u00ebn: elektrisch voor priv\u00e9voertuigen en stedelijke wagenparken, en hybride verbranding om actieradius en gecontroleerde kosten te combineren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stellantis verzekert dat deze beslissing geen gevolgen zal hebben voor het personeel op de betrokken locaties. De R&amp;D-teams die werken aan waterstof zullen worden ingezet voor andere projecten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In slechts een paar maanden tijd is de Fiat Ducato Hydrogen veranderd van een model van de toekomst in het symbool van een mislukte technologische gok. Het opgeven van een waterstof pick-up voor de periode na 2025 bevestigt de omvang van de ommekeer.
