Volgens nieuwe informatie van MoparInsiders zal niet minder dan de hele HEMI V8-familie in productie worden genomen in de Dundee Engine Plant in Michigan.g<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/stellantis\/\">Stellantis<\/a> lijkt van plan om verschillende varianten van de V8-motor nieuw leven in te blazen, <\/strong>na jaren van beperkte productie. De 5.7L HEMI V8, die de hoogtijdagen van het merk had gemaakt, zal zijn comeback maken, maar het zal niet de enige zijn. Ook de populaire 6,4 liter HEMI 'Apache' V8-motor en de 6,2 liter HEMI HELLCAT V8-versie zullen in productie worden genomen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sinds de productie van de HEMI V8-familie in de fabriek van Saltillo North in Mexico werd stopgezet ten gunste van de HURRICANE I6-motoren, dachten velen dat het tijdperk van de V8 bij Stellantis voorbij was. Na het vertrek van Carlos Tavares en een aanpassing van de politieke prioriteiten lijkt het bedrijf echter een ommezwaai te hebben gemaakt en heeft het besloten om deze reeks iconische motoren opnieuw te lanceren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deze massale terugkeer van de V8 maakt deel uit van een strategie die duidelijk gericht is op de Noord-Amerikaanse markt. <\/strong>Motoren met een grote cilinderinhoud blijven erg populair in de VS, vooral in pick-ups zoals de Ram 1500 en Dodge-modellen. Volgens rapporten zou de productie van deze motoren al in het derde kwartaal van 2025 kunnen beginnen in de motorenfabriek in Dundee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>De V8 HEMI-motoren die terugkeren op de markt zullen gebaseerd zijn op de Gen 3-architectuur,<\/strong> die in de loop der jaren zijn waarde heeft bewezen. Er worden echter verbeteringen en updates verwacht om ze nog effectiever te maken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoewel Stellantis wereldwijd steeds meer nadruk legt op de elektrificatie van zijn modellen, <strong>Het moet gezegd worden dat de merken Dodge, Jeep en RAM er niet in geslaagd zijn om de interesse van Amerikanen te wekken. <\/strong>Jeep heeft de Wrangler in december 2024 zelfs opnieuw gelanceerd met de 3,6 liter V6-motor. De V8 blijft een symbool van kracht dat voorlopig nog niet lijkt te verdwijnen.
