De fabriek Stellantis<\/a> in Termoli, Itali\u00eb, blijft moeilijke tijden doormaken voor de productie van de FIRE en FireFly (GSE) verbrandingsmotoren. In een tijd waarin de automobielsector overgaat op elektrische voertuigen, zien deze motoren, ooit de steunpilaar van de Fiat-productie, hun toekomst somberder in. Aan het begin van 2025 lijkt de centrale nog steeds inactief te zijn.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dalende productie en verwachtingen van kortere werktijden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De productie van de Firefly-motoren, die modellen als de Fiat Panda en Alfa Romeo Tonale aandrijven, is al een paar jaar aan de gang. sterk verminderd gedurende enkele maanden<\/a>. Met lagere ordervolumes onthulden de Italiaanse vakbonden onlangs dat de GSE-eenheid (die de Firefly 1.0L- en 1.5L-motoren produceert) werkte nu op een lager pitje<\/strong>. Een verandering van drie naar twee werkdagen per week wordt overwogen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tegelijkertijd blijft de Fire divisie, die oudere motoren blijft produceren, onder een Contrat de Solidarit\u00e9 D\u00e9fensif (CDS) vallen. Dit voorkomt ontslagen door de arbeidstijd van werknemers te verkorten. Dit CDS stelt het onvermijdelijke echter alleen maar uit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Een reconversie nog onduidelijk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Een van de grootste punten van zorg blijft de onzekerheid rond de omschakeling van de Termoli-fabriek.<\/strong> Aanvankelijk was er een Gigafactory-project gepland om de fabriek om te vormen tot een productiecentrum voor batterijen voor elektrische voertuigen, maar dat werd opgeschort. De vakbonden wachten op concrete antwoorden over de toekomst van de fabriek. Volgens Marco Laviano, secretaris van Fim-Cisl Abruzzo-Molise, \"willen we dat Stellantis ons belt en ons een duidelijk beeld geeft van de toekomst van Termoli\". Ondertussen \"gaat het vermoeiende wachten door\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De druk van de energietransitie is voelbaar en verbrandingsmodellen zoals die van Firefly-motoren worden geleidelijk overbodig. De komst van de Fiat 500 hybride in november 2025<\/a> zou een frisse wind kunnen laten waaien door de fabriek in Termoli. Deze hybride versie van de Fiat 500, bestemd voor productie in Mirafiori, zou de fabriek en de productie van verbrandingsmotoren nieuw leven kunnen inblazen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In afwachting van deze deadline blijft de situatie in de fabriek in Termoli echter gespannen. Werknemers, die al getroffen zijn door herhaalde productiestops, vrezen dat hun arbeidsomstandigheden nog verder zullen verslechteren.
