Overwegende dat Stellantis<\/a> tot nu toe zijn inspanningen concentreerde op lichte hybride (MHEV) en elektrische aandrijflijnen voor nieuwe modellen, lijkt het tij te keren. Een nieuwe plug-in hybride (PHEV) strategie tekent zich af voor de Groep, en de Szentgotth\u00e1rd-fabriek in Hongarije<\/strong>speelt een sleutelrol in deze overgang. Met een ambitieuze doelstelling van 220.000 geproduceerde motoren per jaar<\/strong>Stellantis versterkt zijn positie in het PHEV-segment. Stellantis toont al enkele jaren een duidelijke vastberadenheid om te evolueren naar een 100 % elektrische toekomst, in het bijzonder door haar strategisch plan Durf vooruit 2030<\/strong>. Tot voor kort speelde PHEV-technologie echter slechts een marginale rol in het aanbod. Omgekeerd hebben fabrikanten zoals BMW, Volvo en Porsche van plug-in hybrides een pijler van hun strategie gemaakt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recente ontwikkelingen rond de 1.6L turbo plug-in hybride<\/strong> betekent een belangrijke doorbraak. Deze motor, genaamd EP6 GEN3<\/strong>is al begonnen met de productie in Juli 2024<\/strong> in de Szentgotth\u00e1rd-fabriek in Hongarije. Deze zelfde fabriek produceert ook de 1.2L GEN3 motor, wat het strategisch belang in het Europese ecosysteem van Stellantis versterkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Szentgotth\u00e1rd: de kern van Europa's PHEV-strategie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De Szentgotth\u00e1rd-fabriek in Hongarije, vroeger een Opel-fabriek, is gemoderniseerd om te voldoen aan de behoeften van Stellantis. Met een jaarlijks volume van 220.000 eenheden<\/strong>Deze 1.6L PHEV-motor zal de Europese modellen van de merken van de Groep aandrijven op de volgende platforms STLA Middel<\/strong> en STLA Groot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De eerste voertuigen die van deze technologie profiteren zijn de nieuwe Peugeot 3008<\/strong>met een aangekondigd vermogen van 195 ea<\/strong>. Uiteindelijk zou deze motor ook premium modellen kunnen aandrijven, zoals de toekomstige hybride versies van de Alfa Romeo Stelvio<\/strong> en Giulia<\/strong>Dit versterkt de aantrekkingskracht van Italiaanse merken in Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Productie niet alleen ontworpen voor Europa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hoewel de Szentgotth\u00e1rd-fabriek zich concentreert op Europese productie, zullen sommige motoren ook naar het buitenland worden verscheept (zonder te specificeren welke landen).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In de Verenigde Staten blijft de integratie van de 1,6-liter PHEV-motor onzeker, omdat de Noord-Amerikaanse markt nog steeds de voorkeur geeft aan de 1,6-liter PHEV-motor. GME<\/strong> (2.0L en 3.0L). Enkele maanden geleden werd echter aangekondigd dat deze 1.6L motor zal ook worden geproduceerd in de Verenigde Staten, in de fabriek in Dundee.<\/a>in Michigan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waarom nu een 1.6L PHEV-motor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De PHEV-strategie van Stellantis steunt in grote mate op de vooruitgang van zijn joint venture Punch Aandrijflijn<\/strong>. De ontwikkeling van transmissie e-DCT-invoegtoepassing<\/strong> heeft ons in staat gesteld een technologische stap voorwaarts te zetten. Getest in extreme omstandigheden in Spanje en Finland<\/a>e, deze plug-in hybride transmissie is nu klaar voor serieproductie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De doelstelling van 220.000 eenheden is ambitieus, maar essentieel.<\/strong> Volgens Jato Dynamics zullen PHEV-auto's goed zijn voor 489.000 eenheden in Europa in de eerste helft van 2024, met geen enkele Stellantis in de top 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italiaanse merken in de frontlinie?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De grote vraag is of Stellantis merken<\/strong>Alfa Romeo en Lancia zullen allemaal profiteren van deze nieuwe motor. Met ambitieuze productievolumes en compatibiliteit met de STLA Medium en Large platforms lijkt het duidelijk dat modellen als de Stelvio en Giulia plug-in hybrides zouden binnenkort op de markt kunnen komen<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deze ontwikkeling zou Alfa Romeo een concurrerend alternatief bieden voor rivalen zoals BMW en Mercedes, die PHEV en 100 % elektrische oplossingen aanbieden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
