Sinds 2014 worden F1-auto's aangedreven door hybride motoren, waarbij een 6-cilinder turbomotor wordt gecombineerd met een elektrische aandrijfeenheid. Maar in een tijdperk waarin Europa resoluut kiest voor de volledige elektrificatie van voertuigen, zou de F1 wel eens een andere weg kunnen inslaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>De geplande omschakeling naar 100 % thermisch, aangedreven door biobrandstoffen,<\/strong> roept een aantal vragen op. Is dit een stilzwijgende erkenning dat de toekomst van de auto niet uitsluitend elektrisch zal zijn? Zullen biobrandstoffen een essentieel onderdeel vormen van het autolandschap na 2030? Deze vragen komen terug in de huidige discussies rond het nieuwe Concorde Akkoord, dat de regelgevende en financi\u00eble fundamenten van de F1 vormgeeft.
