Aanvankelijk werd hij 'Milano' gedoopt, als eerbetoon aan de geboortestad van het merk, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/alfa-romeo\/officieel-lalfa-romeo-milano-verandert-zijn-naam-in-junior\/\">werd de naam van het voertuig al snel veranderd in \"Junior\".<\/a>. Er waren heel specifieke redenen voor deze onverwachte verandering, zoals Jean Philippe Imparato uitlegt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De naam 'Milano' heeft voor controverse gezorgd, niet in het minst omdat het voertuig in Polen en niet in Itali\u00eb wordt geproduceerd. De controverse bereikte zulke proporties dat politieke figuren, waaronder de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/nl\/alfa-romeo\/alfa-romeo-milano-de-naam-bevalt-de-minister-van-made-in-italy-niet\/\">Minister Adolfo Urso kwam tussenbeide,<\/a> suggererend dat <strong>de naam kan zelfs als illegaal worden beschouwd <\/strong>vanwege de mogelijke verwarring die dit zou kunnen veroorzaken bij consumenten. Imparato, die al drie decennia ervaring heeft in de auto-industrie, was er snel bij om de risico's in te schatten: <strong>\"In conflict komen met de politiek betekent automatisch 50% van onze klanten verliezen\".<\/strong>vertrouwde hij Sky toe in een interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De beslissing om onze naam te veranderen was niet gemakkelijk, maar het was noodzakelijk voor <strong>het imago van het merk behouden en uitholling van het klantenbestand voorkomen<\/strong>. Imparato wijst erop dat hij, hoewel hij niet vond dat de naam \"Milano\" inbreuk maakte op de wet, ervoor koos deze te vervangen om<strong> een einde aan alle controverse.<\/strong> \"We hadden minstens 50 alternatieve namen voor dit model gepland en uiteindelijk is de kwestie van de naam niet zo cruciaal als dat alles,\" zegt hij.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De CEO rekent op een dalend sentiment en gelooft dat <strong>de controverse zal waarschijnlijk binnen een week vergeten zijn.<\/strong> Het sluit echter categorisch de mogelijkheid uit om de productie te repatri\u00ebren naar Itali\u00eb, aangezien geen van de Italiaanse productielocaties momenteel in staat is om voertuigen op het CMP-platform te produceren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alfa Romeo is van plan om de komende jaren een aantal nieuwe modellen te lanceren, waaronder nieuwe versies van de<strong> de Alfa Romeo Giulia en Stelvio, die zullen worden geproduceerd in Cassino, Itali\u00eb,<\/strong> op het STLA Large-platform.
