Dit is een radicale versie van de 296 GTB, de eerste Ferrari met een hybride V6-motor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maar in tegenstelling tot zijn voorganger heeft de 296 Challenge geen elektromotor nodig om in beweging te komen. Hij heeft een <strong>3,0-liter twin-turbo V6 met maar liefst 700 pk en 740 Nm koppel<\/strong>Dit levert een recordvermogen op van 234 pk per liter. Dat is 130 pk minder dan de wegversie. Hij volgt de 488 Challenge Evo op, die was gebaseerd op de 488 GTB met V8-motor.
