E questa volta non \u00e8 un produttore a dimostrarlo... ma un pilota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un motore promettente... mai utilizzato in Europa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Quando questo motore 3.0L L6 fu presentato all'inizio degli anni 2020, incarnava gi\u00e0 una certa modernit\u00e0. In Europa, n\u00e9 Alfa Romeo n\u00e9 Maserati lo utilizzeranno. Una scelta strategica dettata dall'elettrificazione, ma che lascia un sapore di incompiuto. Perch\u00e9 sulla carta questo motore a 6 cilindri in linea aveva tutte le carte in regola per sostituire o addirittura superare alcuni motori V6 esistenti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una preparazione... su una base originale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c8 qui che entra in gioco Morgan Evans, un pilota americano che ha deciso di spingere questo motore ben oltre i suoi limiti originali. Il suo parco giochi? Il motore conserva tutto ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 stato costruito in fabbrica: albero motore forgiato, bielle, pistoni e fasatura rimangono invariati. Una dimostrazione diretta della robustezza di questo moderno propulsore. La trasformazione si basa principalmente su una scelta tecnica: abbandonare il biturbo originale per un unico grande turbo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">800 cavalli... senza aprire il motore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Installando un turbo Precision 68\/70 e ottimizzando la gestione elettronica, Morgan Evans ha ottenuto circa 800 CV. Questa potenza \u00e8 stata ottenuta con una pressione di sovralimentazione compresa tra 29 e 35 psi, mantenendo il resto del motore originale. Il lavoro si \u00e8 concentrato sulla calibrazione, in particolare sulla fasatura variabile degli alberi a camme per migliorare la spinta del turbo. Anzi, troppo formidabile. L'autista spiega che deve limitare volontariamente le sue prestazioni per rispettare gli standard di sicurezza del suo veicolo. Senza di ci\u00f2, il potenziale \u00e8 chiaramente maggiore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un'altra sorpresa: il cambio automatico ZF 8HP75 non \u00e8 stato modificato in alcun modo. \u00c8 stato solo aggiunto un convertitore di coppia specifico per migliorare il comportamento in partenza.
