Prefigurata dalla concept Stratos Zero di Bertone di qualche anno prima, la Stratos era stata progettata per le corse e non era una berlina stradale preparata successivamente per le gare. L'auto \u00e8 stata progettata per ottimizzare il lavoro dei meccanici, le linee sono state tagliate con un bordo seghettato e la famosa vetratura \"a visiera\" era bassa e aerodinamica, senza dimenticare il cuore della vettura: un V6 da 2,4 litri, montato in posizione posteriore centrale, che altro non era che il motore della Ferrari Dino che Enzo Ferrari, dopo molte discussioni e trattative, accett\u00f2 di fornire alla Lancia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Stratos domin\u00f2 il settore tra il 1975 e il 1978, vincendo diversi titoli mondiali e numerosi titoli nazionali. In seguito, la FIAT diede la priorit\u00e0 alla 131 Abarth per il WRC, relegando la Stratos al campionato europeo. Ciononostante, la Stratos ha prodotto alcune prestazioni memorabili, come la vittoria di Bernard Darniche al Giro di Corsica del 1981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"612\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-43668\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos-420x268.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos-768x490.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anche in pista<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Stratos fu sviluppata anche per la categoria Gruppo 5 \"Silhouette\" in pista, ma non pi\u00f9 con un Dino V6, poich\u00e9 la Fiat-Abarth Stratos Gr.5 utilizzava un motore Abarth a 4 cilindri in linea da 1.429 cc, alimentato da un KKK Turbo. Ma, come spesso accade, le auto da rally di quest'epoca hanno avuto una seconda vita nel rallycross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5-420x213.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5-768x389.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5-18x9.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una Lancia 3.0L V6 unica al mondo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In effetti, un tempo esisteva un'unica Stratos con un motore maggiorato a circa 3,0 litri: si trattava di una preparazione sperimentale utilizzata nel rallycross, legata ai team di Andy Bentza e Franz Wurz, il padre di Alexander Wurz. Figlio di un pilota che si era fatto le ossa su una BMW 328 negli anni Cinquanta, fu il primo due volte campione europeo di rallycross, nel 1974 e nel 1976 (su una Lancia Stratos HF 2.4). Per la stagione 1977 del Campionato Europeo di Rallycross, Mike Parkes, il pilota e ingegnere che aveva lavorato sul prototipo Stratos, forn\u00ec una testata a 24 valvole e un albero a gomiti speciale che port\u00f2 la cilindrata del motore a poco meno di 3.000 cm\u00b3.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pronto per il Rallycross e campione!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I pistoni sono stati realizzati con un diametro maggiore e sono state apportate altre modifiche alla lavorazione. Il motore sviluppava circa 320 CV. Poich\u00e9 l'auto non doveva essere guidata su strada nel rallycross, lo scarico era libero, quindi non c'erano silenziatori o marmitte. Anche la vettura fu adattata ai vincoli del rallycross: per aumentare la corsa, il punto di montaggio dell'ammortizzatore posteriore fu spostato pi\u00f9 in alto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycross.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycross.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycross-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycross-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycross-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Bentza rilev\u00f2 la Stratos di Wurz, vendette la propria Stratos 2.4 L 12V e vinse il titolo di classe ERC GT nel 1978 con questa esclusiva Stratos da 3 litri, che Bentza guid\u00f2 fino alla fine del 1983. Bentza la tenne fino agli anni '80, quando fu venduta ad Alexander Wurz.
