Immaginate la fantasia: Lancia non sostituisce FIAT nel Campionato del Mondo Rally all'inizio degli anni Ottanta. La 131 Abarth andava ancora forte, ma Audi rivoluzionava i rally con la Quattro. Poi arriv\u00f2 Peugeot con la sua piccola 205, che dimostr\u00f2 i vantaggi delle auto piccole in termini di peso e agilit\u00e0. La Fiat dovette reagire e, contro ogni aspettativa, abbandon\u00f2 la Ritmo Abarth a favore di una Panda Gruppo B!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questo delirio non si discosta molto dal progetto unico presentato da M-Sport nel 2021: Panda by M-Sport. Una Fiat Panda 4\u00d74 radicale preparata per i rally. La vera Panda, grazie alla sua famosa versione 4\u00d74, \u00e8 stata preparata per i rally-raid, ma mai in modo cos\u00ec estremo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quando si pensa a M-Sport, si tende a pensare alle Ford. La RS Cosworth, la Focus WRC, la Fiesta RS WRC e la Puma Rally 1, per non parlare della R2\/R5, escono dalle officine dell'azienda di Malcolm Wilson dal 1997. Il progetto Panda 4\u00d74, tuttavia, presentava una sfida completamente diversa: costruire un veicolo su misura per un cliente. Il team di ingegneri ha preso le basi di una Fiesta R5 Mk1 come punto di partenza, l'auto da competizione di maggior successo mai prodotta da M-Sport.
