Il marchio con lo scorpione, un tempo simbolo di sportivit\u00e0 accessibile e di una comunit\u00e0 fedele, sta attraversando da due anni una crisi senza precedenti. E le ultime dichiarazioni del suo capo europeo, Gaetano Thorel, fanno pensare a una svolta inaspettata: un possibile ritorno ai motori a combustione. Lo abbiamo documentato <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/it\/abarth\/la-strategia-100-electric-di-dabarth-e-un-fallimento-i-dati-lo-dimostrano\/\">da luglio<\/a> poi in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/it\/abarth\/il-marchio-abarth-scomparira-nel-silenzio\/\">Ottobre 2025<\/a> vendite sono crollate. Mentre si prevedeva ancora che il marchio avrebbe venduto quasi 10.000 auto nel 2024, sta lottando per superare la barriera delle 2.000 unit\u00e0 nel 2025. In Europa, tra gennaio e giugno sono state immatricolate solo 1.030 Abarth, rispetto alle 4.867 dell'anno precedente. Un calo di quasi 80 unit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E questo declino non ha risparmiato nessun mercato: Francia, Italia, Regno Unito, Spagna e persino il Giappone stanno vedendo crollare i volumi. La situazione \u00e8 resa ancora pi\u00f9 grave dal fatto che le ultime Abarth termiche (595 e 695) sono state ritirate dal catalogo nell'agosto 2024. Secondo lui, i clienti Abarth non si identificano con gli attuali modelli elettrici. Non perch\u00e9 siano fondamentalmente poco interessanti, ma perch\u00e9 non offrono pi\u00f9 quella che \u00e8 stata l'essenza del marchio per decenni: la possibilit\u00e0 di modificare, ottimizzare e smanettare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"Il cliente Abarth vuole un motore a combustione, non solo per la potenza, ma perch\u00e9 acquista l'auto e poi la modifica con le proprie mani\", ammette. \"Non possiamo farlo con le auto elettriche. Basata su una versione modificata della piattaforma della 500e, \u00e8 alimentata da un piccolo motore a benzina 1.0 ad aspirazione naturale da 65 CV. Non abbastanza da entusiasmare le folle, ovviamente, ma abbastanza da rendere possibile il ritorno in vita di un'auto sportiva Abarth a combustione... in teoria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ed \u00e8 qui che i commenti di Gaetano Thorel diventano particolarmente rivelatori. S\u00ec, la piattaforma pu\u00f2 gestire pi\u00f9 potenza. Ma no, l'attuale motore 1.0 non sar\u00e0 mai in grado di fornire il carattere esplosivo che gli appassionati si aspettano. \u00c8 troppo poco potente, troppo lineare e troppo poco impegnativo. Ci sono anche seri vincoli tecnici: la piattaforma della 500e \u00e8 stata progettata per un motore elettrico compatto, lasciando pochissimo spazio per un motore a combustione pi\u00f9 grande o che richiede un sistema di raffreddamento pi\u00f9 ampio. L'equazione tecnica \u00e8 quindi tutt'altro che semplice. Dimostra che Stellantis ha capito che l'attuale strategia sta portando dritto contro il muro. Persino la 600e, costruita su una base comune con l'Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, la Lancia Ypsilon HF e la Opel Mokka GSE, non riesce a sedurre. La questione non \u00e8 quindi solo tecnica, ma strategica: vale ancora la pena investire in una nuova Abarth a combustione, visto che i volumi sono attualmente aneddotici? L'Abarth potrebbe essere reintegrata nella comunicazione Fiat in Europa, come avviene in America Latina dove ancora sopravvive? O il marchio sar\u00e0 semplicemente sacrificato in una futura razionalizzazione di Stellantis?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'annuncio non garantisce il ritorno del ruggente scorpione. Ma conferma che Abarth sta finalmente ascoltando le richieste di clienti, club e appassionati.
