La Lotus e gli altri costruttori britannici erano i pi\u00f9 audaci in termini di telaio e design aerodinamico (l'architettura del motore centrale posteriore, le winglet, i pontoni, ecc. furono introdotti da loro), mentre la Ferrari, pi\u00f9 conservatrice in questo campo, compensava con il suo know-how nel campo dei motori. La Ferrari era solita prendere in giro questi artigiani britannici, che chiamava sprezzantemente \"garagisti\", pur avendo lo status di costruttore a tutti gli effetti. Colin Chapman, nel 1982, e poi Enzo Ferrari, nel 1988, hanno lasciato un grande vuoto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/it\/ferrari\/la-ferrari-guadagna-sempre-di-piu-per-ogni-auto-venduta-e-potrebbe-stabilire-un-nuovo-record-nel-2025\/\">La Ferrari stabilisce nuovi record di vendita<\/a>Se Lotus ha avuto la sua parte di crisi di popolarit\u00e0 e di redditivit\u00e0, ha avuto crisi esistenziali pi\u00f9 profonde e ora sta cercando di reinventarsi attraverso l'energia elettrica. In Sudafrica \u00e8 stato sviluppato un veicolo ibrido tra i due marchi: ci si chiede quale sarebbe stata la reazione dei due mostri sacri a una simile creazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le cronoscalate sono il terreno di gioco preferito degli apprendisti stregoni, che in alcune categorie hanno la possibilit\u00e0 di assecondare le proprie manie meccaniche. L'esempio pi\u00f9 evidente \u00e8 la pratica dello \"swapping\", cio\u00e8 la semplice sostituzione del motore dell'auto di base, come abbiamo visto di recente con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/it\/alfa-romeo\/due-alfa-romeo-4c-da-670-cv-e-700-cv-si-sfidano-per-la-vittoria-in-italia\/\">l'Alfa Romeo 4C Picchio da 700 CV<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un motore a cui \u00e8 stata data una seconda vita<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dawie Joubert ha iniziato a praticare il motorsport sulla drag strip, poi nel Gruppo N del South African Production Car Championship. Nel 2001 ha acquistato la sua prima Lotus: una Elise Motorsport, sulla quale ha iniziato a effettuare delle conversioni. Il suo nuovo prototipo basato sulla Exige era originariamente motorizzato Honda, ma nel 2020 una Ferrari 488 si \u00e8 schiantata a Kyalami e si \u00e8 presentata l'opportunit\u00e0 di recuperare il motore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ferrari-lotus-V8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-40552\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ferrari-lotus-V8.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ferrari-lotus-V8-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ferrari-lotus-V8-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ferrari-lotus-V8-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto Stefan Kotz\u00e9 per SpeedHunters<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questa Exige da corsa ha sostituito il suo motore originale Toyota a 4 cilindri (che non era nemmeno quello originale) con un V8 biturbo Ferrari F154 da 3,9 litri, derivato dalla Ferrari F488 GTB e abbinato a un cambio sequenziale a sei rapporti. In configurazione di fabbrica, il V8 biturbo sviluppa 661 CV a 8.000 giri\/min e 760 Nm a 3.000 giri\/min. In questo caso, il motore viene potenziato grazie ad alcune modifiche ai turbocompressori IHI, a uno scambiatore di calore su misura e a una gestione rivista: svilupper\u00e0 765 CV nel 2022 e 870 CV nel 2023. Come sempre, l'ala posteriore \u00e8 la parte pi\u00f9 estrema. Ha vinto la sua categoria e si \u00e8 classificato al secondo posto in classifica generale, a solo 1 secondo dal tempo ottenuto da una monoposto.
