Non stiamo parlando di Ferruccio Lamborghini, ma di Ferruccio Covini! Il mondo dell'auto \u00e8 pieno di personaggi atipici che si sono aggrappati ai loro sogni nonostante le difficolt\u00e0 e chi li riteneva eccentrici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Distinguersi dalla massa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nato nel 1948 ad Arena Po, un piccolo paese dell'Oltrep\u00f2 Pavese, Ferruccio Covini ha dimostrato fin da bambino un grande amore per le quattro ruote e l'alta velocit\u00e0. Nel 1978 fonda la sua azienda, la Covini Engeneering, <strong>lavorava gi\u00e0 da diversi anni a un concetto di auto sportiva a 6 ruote.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-2.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-2-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-2-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Come per altri avventurieri artigianali, trovarsi di fronte a giganti come la Ferrari \u00e8 un motivo convincente per distinguersi dalla massa. Dove si trova l'azienda di Claudio Zampolli <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/it\/cizeta\/cizeta-moroder-v16t-la-vera-lamborghini-diablo-ma-con-due-v8\/\">Cizeta ha puntato su un motore V16<\/a>Covini ha optato per tre assi! \"Il mondo delle supercar \u00e8 molto complesso. Anche riuscire a distinguersi dalla massa significa affrontare i giganti. Solo i veicoli sufficientemente innovativi da attirare finanziamenti e capitali per la ricerca possono rappresentare un punto di forza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tyrrell P34, l'ispirazione<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L'ispirazione \u00e8 venuta dalla famosa auto di F1 Tyrrell P34,<\/strong> che ha fatto scalpore nel 1976 con le sue quattro piccole ruote anteriori e le due grandi ruote posteriori. Progettata in questo modo per ridurre la resistenza aerodinamica, la monoposto britannica ottenne risultati abbastanza soddisfacenti, tra cui una vittoria in Svezia con Jody Scheckter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/tyrell-p34.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/tyrell-p34.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/tyrell-p34-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/tyrell-p34-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/tyrell-p34-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto Lothar Spurzem<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Anche la Williams e la Ferrari avevano sviluppato prototipi di F1 a 6 ruote, ma questi furono accantonati con il miglioramento dell'aerodinamica e dell'effetto suolo. Le ruote piccole erano costose da produrre e rendevano pi\u00f9 lunghe e complicate le soste ai box. Goodyear smise di sviluppare pneumatici speciali nel 1977, costringendo Tyrrell ad abbandonare l'idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quali sono i vantaggi?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Covini ha voluto trasporre questa tecnologia sulla strada, <strong>evidenziando i vantaggi che il doppio asse anteriore avrebbe dovuto apportare:<\/strong> pi\u00f9 aderenza con riduzione del sovrasterzo, pi\u00f9 potenza di frenata, pi\u00f9 sicurezza, pi\u00f9 comfort e migliore assorbimento delle asperit\u00e0 stradali. Tuttavia, per mancanza di budget e di disponibilit\u00e0 di pneumatici adeguati, il progetto fu accantonato negli anni '80 e '90, mentre Covini lavorava ad altri prototipi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39301\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-3.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-3-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-3-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c8 stato all'inizio degli anni 2000 che tutto si \u00e8 riunito, con il completamento della C6W (per 6 Wheels),<\/strong> che ha fatto il suo debutto al Salone Internazionale dell'Automobile del 2005. Fece scalpore con le sue quattro ruote da 15\" all'anteriore e due da 20\" al posteriore. Il design della C6W le conferisce una falsa aria di Ascari, con le sue linee sobrie e fluide, ma va detto che il doppio asse anteriore \u00e8 difficile da abituare e ha un aspetto poco attraente...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-4.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-4-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-4-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-4-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dal punto di vista meccanico, la vettura \u00e8 alimentata da un motore Audi V8 da 4,2 litri montato in posizione centrale. Le prestazioni promesse includono un tempo da 0 a 100 km\/h inferiore a 4 secondi e una velocit\u00e0 massima di 299 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anche gli svantaggi!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Il concetto ha tuttavia i suoi svantaggi:<\/strong> La meccanica \u00e8 pi\u00f9 complessa, i costi di manutenzione sono pi\u00f9 elevati e il peso dell'equipaggiamento \u00e8 ovviamente maggiore, ma questo \u00e8 in parte compensato da un telaio tubolare coperto da una carrozzeria in fibra di carbonio. Di conseguenza, la C6W riesce a rimanere sotto i 1.200 kg. Ma tutto questo ha un prezzo molto alto!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-5.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-5-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-5-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/covini-c6w-5-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Prevista come una produzione limitata di pochi esemplari all'anno, non si sa esattamente quanti ne siano usciti dalle piccole officine, ma l'attivit\u00e0 \u00e8 proseguita ufficialmente fino al 2016. Esistono pochissimi video della C6W in movimento, a parte un giro a Goodwood. L'ultima notizia \u00e8 che la produzione \"su richiesta\" \u00e8 stata rilanciata per il 2022, con un prezzo di 580.000 euro.
