Su t\u00edtulo: \u00abLa historia secreta del Lamborghini Miura II\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para un entusiasta de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/es\/lamborghini\/\">Lamborghini<\/a>, Es dif\u00edcil permanecer indiferente. El Miura es uno de los coches m\u00e1s legendarios de la historia de la marca. Sin embargo, nunca hab\u00eda o\u00eddo hablar de un proyecto llamado Miura II. Fue suficiente para despertar mi curiosidad. As\u00ed que me puse en contacto con la revista para saber m\u00e1s y pedirles permiso para compartir la historia en Italpassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Su respuesta fue tan comprensiva como inesperada:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" focusable=\"false\" class=\"icon icon-quote\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\"><use xlink:href=\"#icon-quote\"><\/use><\/svg>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abCreemos que la mejor soluci\u00f3n ser\u00eda enviarles un ejemplar impreso de la revista para que puedan publicar fotograf\u00edas del art\u00edculo. As\u00ed se demuestra que se trata realmente de un contenido publicado en una revista, al tiempo que se evita revelar toda la historia. Es una situaci\u00f3n en la que todos ganan.\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unas semanas m\u00e1s tarde, la revista lleg\u00f3 a mi buz\u00f3n. Y la historia merece ser contada. En aquella \u00e9poca, Lamborghini a\u00fan no era la floreciente marca que conocemos hoy. Su modelo b\u00e1sico era el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/es\/coches\/lamborghini-jalpa\/\">Jalpa<\/a>, El Jalpa fue un deportivo con motor V8 central trasero que estuvo a la venta de 1981 a 1988. A pesar de sus cualidades, el Jalpa nunca alcanz\u00f3 el \u00e9xito esperado. En ocho a\u00f1os de producci\u00f3n, s\u00f3lo se vendieron 410 ejemplares. Su nombre en clave era P140. El objetivo era claro: desarrollar un Lamborghini m\u00e1s compacto, m\u00e1s asequible y capaz de atraer a una clientela m\u00e1s amplia que el Countach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El proyecto LP140, apodado \u00abMiura II\u00bb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aqu\u00ed es donde la historia se pone emocionante. Seg\u00fan la informaci\u00f3n recogida por <em>La rata de carretera<\/em> con Tom Gale, antiguo Vicepresidente de Dise\u00f1o de Chrysler, los equipos estadounidenses hicieron algo m\u00e1s que limitarse a supervisar el proyecto. Decidieron participar directamente en su desarrollo estil\u00edstico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A nivel interno, Chrysler incluso ide\u00f3 un nombre de trabajo especialmente ambicioso: Miura II. La idea era simple pero audaz: crear un nuevo Lamborghini con motor central capaz de asumir el papel hist\u00f3rico del Miura como superdeportivo m\u00e1s accesible que el modelo insignia de la gama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Varios dise\u00f1adores de Chrysler fueron invitados a trabajar en el tema fuera del horario de oficina. Por aquel entonces, los mismos equipos estaban revolucionando el mercado americano con los monovol\u00famenes Chrysler... Tom Gale explica en el art\u00edculo que no le convencieron del todo las propuestas italianas iniciales y quiso abrir el concurso a j\u00f3venes dise\u00f1adores estadounidenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una batalla de estilos entre Chrysler, Bertone y Gandini<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las fotograf\u00edas publicadas en la revista muestran un episodio pr\u00e1cticamente desconocido de la historia de Lamborghini. La versi\u00f3n B, que puede verse en varias fotos, presenta un estilo t\u00edpico de la \u00e9poca, con un perfil extremadamente bajo, voladizos reducidos y l\u00edneas fluidas. Si tenemos en cuenta que el Gallardo, lanzado en 2003, se convertir\u00eda en el primer Lamborghini moderno en democratizar el motor V10 dentro de la gama, no podemos evitar preguntarnos qu\u00e9 habr\u00eda sido de este proyecto si se le hubiera dado luz verde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 se abandon\u00f3 el proyecto?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pesar de las inversiones realizadas, el proyecto nunca lleg\u00f3 a materializarse. El propio Tom Gale admite que no recuerda todas las razones, pero varios factores parecen haber jugado en contra del P140.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La recesi\u00f3n de principios de los 90, las decepcionantes ventas del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/es\/coches\/lamborghini-diablo\/\">Diablo<\/a> y las dificultades financieras cr\u00f3nicas de Lamborghini probablemente frenaron las ambiciones de Chrysler. Al final, el fabricante estadounidense s\u00f3lo fue propietario de Lamborghini durante siete a\u00f1os antes de vender la marca al grupo indonesio MegaTech en 1994.
