Este fue el apogeo del Cosworth V8, que equipaba a la gran mayor\u00eda de los coches de la parrilla, pero <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/es\/ferrari\/\">Ferrari<\/a> destaca por su motor plano de 12 cilindros.  Esta serie recibe el apodo de \u201cNiki Lauda\u201d, en homenaje al campe\u00f3n austriaco que devolvi\u00f3 a la Scuderia al buen camino y marc\u00f3 profundamente este periodo de la F1. Un chasis que se utiliz\u00f3 en los Grandes Premios de Espa\u00f1a y M\u00f3naco durante la loca temporada de 1976 fue pilotado aqu\u00ed por Chris McAllister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00c9xito, pero sin el calor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Reclutado por el Commendatore a finales de 1973, Lauda acall\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente a los esc\u00e9pticos y sac\u00f3 el m\u00e1ximo partido del nuevo 312T dise\u00f1ado por Mauro Forghieri. En 1975, devolvi\u00f3 el t\u00edtulo a la Scuderia, tras once a\u00f1os de sequ\u00eda y la victoria de John Surtees en 1964. Sin embargo, el ambiente en los rojos no era tan feliz. El car\u00e1cter y la franqueza del austriaco ofend\u00edan a la prensa italiana, y dentro de la Scuderia, un clan \u201citaliano\u201d parec\u00eda preferir al piloto suizo de origen italiano Clay Regazzoni. En 1976, la direcci\u00f3n deportiva pas\u00f3 a manos de Daniele Audetto, que anteriormente hab\u00eda dirigido a Lancia en rallies. Audetto fue destinado a Ferrari como director de equipo, ya que Montezemolo hab\u00eda vuelto a Fiat como alto ejecutivo. Nicolas Anderbegani para Italpassion<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una retroexcavadora muy inc\u00f3moda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Justo antes del Gran Premio de Espa\u00f1a, Niki Lauda sufri\u00f3 un accidente dom\u00e9stico. Durante unas obras en su propiedad, la retroexcavadora que manejaba volc\u00f3 y estuvo a punto de matarle. Sufri\u00f3 graves heridas en las costillas. La historia se difundi\u00f3. Adem\u00e1s de las burlas, parte de la prensa, sobre todo en Italia, dud\u00f3 de su capacidad para recuperarse r\u00e1pidamente y presion\u00f3 para que se contratara a un piloto transalpino, mientras que parte del personal de Ferrari presionaba para que Clay Regazzoni se convirtiera en el n\u00famero 1. Lauda se sinti\u00f3 traicionado por estas maniobras, sobre todo porque Enzo Ferrari parec\u00eda estar dejando que la situaci\u00f3n se enconara. En Espa\u00f1a, Lauda cort\u00f3 los lazos con la prensa italiana, tras haber creado tambi\u00e9n pol\u00e9mica al decir a un periodista que\u00a0<em>\u00abLos conductores italianos s\u00f3lo sirven para conducir alrededor de la iglesia de su pueblo.\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0En otras palabras, tambi\u00e9n se enemist\u00f3 con sus compa\u00f1eros de la pen\u00ednsula, incluido Arturio Merzario, que consideraba que el austriaco le hab\u00eda bloqueado el camino hacia la Scuderia en 1974. Y, sin embargo, fue Merzario quien le salv\u00f3 de las llamas unos meses despu\u00e9s...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intocable<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En M\u00f3naco, Lauda consigue su segunda pole de la temporada por delante de su compa\u00f1ero Regazzoni. Los Ferrari ocuparon la primera fila y dominaron la competici\u00f3n. Sin embargo, su mente estaba en otra parte, ya que su mujer Marlene hab\u00eda sufrido un aborto espont\u00e1neo. La situaci\u00f3n interna se complic\u00f3 cuando Niki Lauda discuti\u00f3 sobre posibles instrucciones de carrera a favor de Clay Regazzoni. \u201cA final de a\u00f1o, uno de nosotros tendr\u00e1 que irse, eso es obvio\u00bb.\u00bb \u00a0<a>dice<\/a>-dijo a su entorno sobre la direcci\u00f3n deportiva.
