Las grandes berlinas de calle no suelen tener el tama\u00f1o adecuado, \u00a1pero siempre hay excepciones! El 164, por ejemplo, estuvo a punto de competir en el campeonato Procar de 1989, una idea lanzada por Bernie Ecclestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, el 164 Procar era un prototipo de silueta que poco ten\u00eda que ver con la berlina de producci\u00f3n original, y estaba equipado con un motor V10 que hab\u00eda sido dise\u00f1ado principalmente para la F1. Desarrollaba 620 CV a 13.300 rpm. La primera gran berlina de carretera Alfa Romeo producida desde la absorci\u00f3n por Fiat y la fusi\u00f3n con Lancia, el 164 de tracci\u00f3n delantera, presentado en 1987, hab\u00eda indignado a los puristas y parte de la prensa se hab\u00eda quejado de que al eje delantero le faltaba agarre. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volviendo a nuestros 164, la primera temporada fue dif\u00edcil, con un coche a\u00fan en desarrollo frente a una competencia bien establecida. El motor 3.0L V6 24v hab\u00eda sido lanzado por la marca en 1992, con 211 CV y luego hasta 230 CV. Tras varias buenas carreras, termin\u00f3 2\u00ba en el Power Trophy en 2017. A pesar de la instalaci\u00f3n de un motor de 24 v\u00e1lvulas, el rendimiento esperado no lleg\u00f3.
