Tres a\u00f1os de intenso trabajo en Emilia-Roma\u00f1a con los mejores artesanos permitieron devolver a la vida un Stratos HF del Grupo IV, apodado \"El Pato\" por su carrocer\u00eda de color amarillo brillante y formas generosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un destino original para este pato Stratos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Este Stratos ya es original en cuanto a su carrera deportiva, puesto que no fue en las pistas del Campeonato Mundial de Rallyes, sino en los legendarios circuitos de Estados Unidos, donde se dio a conocer. Dise\u00f1ado originalmente como un coche de carretera Giallo Fly con interior azul (de ah\u00ed su cari\u00f1oso apodo de \"Pato\"), fue adquirido nuevo por Anatoly Arutunoff alias \"Toly\", un empresario de Oklahoma, concesionario de Ferrari y heredero de la industria petrolera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hijo del emigrante ruso Armais Arutunoff, que hab\u00eda amasado una fortuna considerable tras inventar la primera bomba de gasolina sumergible del mundo, Toly Arutunoff tom\u00f3 posesi\u00f3n de su nuevo Stratos HF en la f\u00e1brica de Lancia en Tur\u00edn a finales de 1976. Tras numerosas modificaciones, el coche compiti\u00f3 durante nueve a\u00f1os en la categor\u00eda GTU (veh\u00edculos GT con motores de menos de 2,5 litros) por todo Estados Unidos, en las 24 horas de Daytona, las 12 horas de Sebring, las 6 horas de Watkins Glen y las 500 millas de Road America. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, este Lancia se hab\u00eda deteriorado y, en agosto de 2022, se puso a la venta en California. Ah\u00ed es donde Girardo &amp; Co. entran en escena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al contemplar este resplandeciente Lancia Stratos Grupo IV tras su meticulosa restauraci\u00f3n, resulta dif\u00edcil imaginar el estado de deterioro en el que fue descubierto. La intenci\u00f3n de quienes llevaron a cabo este proyecto no era restaurar \"El Pato\" para dejarlo como nuevo. El prestigioso historial de competici\u00f3n de este Lancia est\u00e1 tan intr\u00ednsecamente ligado a su identidad que, en su opini\u00f3n, intentar borrar todas las huellas de su uso habr\u00eda sido \"un error\". O la profusi\u00f3n de diales e indicadores instalados a todo lo ancho del salpicadero. O el s\u00f3lido asiento de cubo con tachuelas, restaurado por el mismo guarnicionero de M\u00f3dena que fabrica los interiores de Pagani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00a1Incluso mejor que cuando sali\u00f3 de f\u00e1brica!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El primer paso fue realizar un estudio fotogr\u00e1fico completo, no s\u00f3lo para las imprescindibles fotos del antes y el despu\u00e9s, sino tambi\u00e9n como referencia posterior para reproducir la especificaci\u00f3n y el acabado \u00fanicos del Grupo IV. A continuaci\u00f3n se procedi\u00f3 al desmontaje completo de todos los componentes del coche, hasta la carrocer\u00eda. Cada cent\u00edmetro del chasis de \"El Pato\" fue meticulosamente inspeccionado y examinado en el asador por el especialista metal\u00fargico. Aunque no se aplic\u00f3 en ese momento, ser\u00e1 completamente indetectable una vez pintado el coche y evitar\u00e1 eficazmente la corrosi\u00f3n en el futuro. El chasis se envi\u00f3 al taller de carrocer\u00eda para el ajuste final, antes de la aplicaci\u00f3n de la imprimaci\u00f3n y la pintura. Tras la capa base negra est\u00e1ndar, se reprodujo el tono espec\u00edfico de amarillo utilizando pintura de \u00e9poca encontrada cuando se desmont\u00f3 el chasis. Se instalaron numerosos sistemas restaurados, incluida la suspensi\u00f3n completa, la cremallera de direcci\u00f3n, los pedales, los frenos, el radiador y los ventiladores de refrigeraci\u00f3n. Lo mejor de todo es que el legendario motor Ferrari Dino V6 de este Stratos rugi\u00f3 por primera vez en d\u00e9cadas durante su prueba en el banco de potencia.
