Prefigurado por el concept Stratos Zero de Bertone unos a\u00f1os antes, el Stratos se dise\u00f1\u00f3 para la competici\u00f3n y no era una berlina de carretera preparada posteriormente para la competici\u00f3n. El coche estaba dise\u00f1ado para optimizar el trabajo de los mec\u00e1nicos, las l\u00edneas estaban cortadas con un borde dentado y la famosa \"visera\" acristalada era baja y aerodin\u00e1mica, sin olvidar el coraz\u00f3n del coche: un V6 de 2,4 litros, montado en la posici\u00f3n central trasera, que no era otro que el motor del Ferrari Dino que Enzo Ferrari, tras muchas discusiones y negociaciones, acept\u00f3 suministrar a Lancia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Stratos domin\u00f3 su campo entre 1975 y 1978, ganando varios t\u00edtulos mundiales y numerosos t\u00edtulos nacionales. Posteriormente, FIAT dio prioridad al 131 Abarth en el WRC, lo que releg\u00f3 al Stratos al campeonato europeo. No obstante, logr\u00f3 algunos \u00e9xitos memorables, como la victoria de Bernard Darniche en el Tour de C\u00f3rcega de 1981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"612\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-43668\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos-420x268.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos-768x490.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lancia-stratos-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tambi\u00e9n en la pista<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El Stratos tambi\u00e9n se desarroll\u00f3 para la categor\u00eda \"Silueta\" del Grupo 5 en circuito, pero ya no con un Dino V6, puesto que el Fiat-Abarth Stratos Gr.5 utilizaba un motor Abarth de 4 cilindros en l\u00ednea de 1.429 cm\u00b3, propulsado por un KKK Turbo. Pero, como suele ocurrir, los coches de rally de esta \u00e9poca tuvieron una segunda oportunidad en el rallycross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5-420x213.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5-768x389.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-groupe-5-18x9.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un Lancia 3.0L V6 \u00fanico en el mundo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De hecho, hubo una vez un Stratos \u00fanico con un motor aumentado a unos 3,0 litros: era una preparaci\u00f3n experimental utilizada en rallycross, vinculada a los equipos de Andy Bentza y Franz Wurz, el padre de Alexander Wurz. Hijo de un piloto que se curti\u00f3 con un BMW 328 en los a\u00f1os 50, fue el primer bicampe\u00f3n europeo de rallycross, en 1974 y 1976 (con un Lancia Stratos HF 2.4). Para la temporada del Campeonato Europeo de Rallycross de 1977, Mike Parkes, el piloto e ingeniero que hab\u00eda trabajado en el prototipo Stratos, suministr\u00f3 una culata de 24 v\u00e1lvulas y un cig\u00fce\u00f1al especial que elev\u00f3 la cilindrada del motor a algo menos de 3.000 cm\u00b3.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss-420x280.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/lancia-stratos-rallycrss-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00a1Listo para el rallycross y campe\u00f3n!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fabricaron pistones de mayor di\u00e1metro y realizaron otras modificaciones de mecanizado. El motor desarrollaba unos 320 CV. Como el coche no deb\u00eda circular por carretera en rallycross, el escape era libre, por lo que no hab\u00eda silenciadores ni silenciadores. Bentza lo conserv\u00f3 hasta la d\u00e9cada de 1980, cuando finalmente fue vendido a Alexander Wurz.
