Imagina la fantas\u00eda: Lancia no sustituy\u00f3 a FIAT en el Campeonato del Mundo de Rallyes a principios de los a\u00f1os ochenta. El 131 Abarth segu\u00eda dando guerra, pero Audi revolucion\u00f3 los rallies con el Quattro. Luego lleg\u00f3 Peugeot con su peque\u00f1o 205, que demostr\u00f3 las ventajas de los coches peque\u00f1os en t\u00e9rminos de peso y agilidad. Fiat tuvo que reaccionar y, contra todo pron\u00f3stico, \u00a1abandon\u00f3 el Ritmo Abarth en favor de un Panda del Grupo B!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este delirio no dista mucho del singular proyecto desvelado por M-Sport en 2021: Panda by M-Sport. Un Fiat Panda 4\u00d74 radical preparado para los rallyes. El aut\u00e9ntico Panda, gracias a su famosa versi\u00f3n 4\u00d74, ha sido preparado para rally-raids, pero nunca de una forma tan extrema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando uno piensa en M-Sport, tiende a pensar en Ford. El RS Cosworth, el Focus WRC, el Fiesta RS WRC y el Puma Rally 1, por no mencionar el R2\/R5, han salido de los talleres de la empresa de Malcolm Wilson desde 1997. El proyecto del Panda 4\u00d74, sin embargo, presentaba un reto totalmente distinto: construir un veh\u00edculo a medida para un cliente. El equipo de ingenieros tom\u00f3 como punto de partida los cimientos de un Fiesta R5 Mk1, el coche de competici\u00f3n para clientes con m\u00e1s \u00e9xito jam\u00e1s producido por M-Sport. Es cuadrado, c\u00fabico, no convierte al r\u00fastico Panda en una supermodelo, pero es deliciosamente exagerado.
