Desde su inauguraci\u00f3n en 1972, se ha especializado en la fabricaci\u00f3n de motores como, actualmente, el FIRE, el 2.0 GME de 4 cilindros, el 2.9L V6 (y probablemente el 3.0L V6 Nettuno). <strong>La f\u00e1brica estaba destinada a convertirse en una gigafactor\u00eda de bater\u00edas <\/strong>seg\u00fan el plan Dare Forward 2030 de Stellantis. Pero la situaci\u00f3n dio un giro sorprendente cuando, en el espacio de unos d\u00edas, se paraliz\u00f3 el proyecto de la gigafactor\u00eda, seguido del lanzamiento del nuevo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un futuro incierto para Termoli<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En marzo de 2022, Stellantis anunci\u00f3 un <strong>ambicioso proyecto para transformar la planta de Termoli en una gigafactor\u00eda de bater\u00edas<\/strong>. El comunicado de prensa afirmaba que Stellantis, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la empresa franco-alemana Automotive Cells Company (ACC) (de la que el Grupo es el principal accionista), ten\u00eda previsto <strong>construir un tercer centro de producci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas en Termoli<\/strong>. Con socios como Mercedes-Benz y TotalEnergies\/Saft, ACC aspira a una capacidad de producci\u00f3n de al menos 120 gigavatios hora (GWh) para 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carlos Tavares, Director General de Stellantis, subray\u00f3 que <strong>la importancia de esta inversi\u00f3n para garantizar el futuro de la comunidad de Termoli.<\/strong> La transformaci\u00f3n de la planta pretend\u00eda contribuir a un futuro m\u00e1s sostenible, posicionando a ACC como l\u00edder europeo en la producci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas y afirmando el papel de Italia en esta transici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un respiro inesperado para las gigafactor\u00edas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, a principios de junio, <strong>ACC ha anunciado la suspensi\u00f3n de la construcci\u00f3n de dos de sus gigafactor\u00edas<\/strong>incluida Termoli. La empresa conjunta ha decidido suspender estos proyectos debido a la ca\u00edda de la demanda de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos en Europa y a los elevados costes de producci\u00f3n. Las plantas de Kaiserslautern (Alemania) y Termoli (Italia), cuyo inicio de producci\u00f3n estaba previsto para 2025 y 2026 respectivamente, han visto cuestionados sus calendarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Esta situaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda haber sido catastr\u00f3fica para Termoli,<\/strong> que se encontr\u00f3 con una producci\u00f3n de motores de combusti\u00f3n interna en declive y una f\u00e1brica de bater\u00edas Giga cancelada. Sin embargo, ha surgido una nueva oportunidad con el lanzamiento del nuevo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido salva el d\u00eda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>El <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/es\/fiat\/nuevo-fiat-500-hybrid-motor-plataforma-precio-fecha-todo-revelado\/\">nuevo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido<\/a> llega en el momento justo para salvar la planta de Termoli<\/strong>. La planta polaca FIAT Powertrain de Bielska, que produce motores Fire para el antiguo Fiat 500 desde 2007, cerrar\u00e1 a finales de 2024. El anuncio de que el nuevo Fiat 500 h\u00edbrido se fabricar\u00e1 en Italia, en la planta de Mirafiori, significa que los motores de combusti\u00f3n interna seguir\u00e1n produci\u00e9ndose en Termoli al menos hasta 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta nueva direcci\u00f3n <strong>proporciona un bienvenido respiro para la planta de Termoli,<\/strong> garantizando los puestos de trabajo y la continuidad de la producci\u00f3n.
