Sin embargo, durante la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, la industria se ha centrado en gran medida en optimizar los resultados en el laboratorio (NEDC), a menudo en detrimento del rendimiento real en carretera. El cambio al ciclo de homologaci\u00f3n WLTP en 2017 y los objetivos de emisiones m\u00e1s estrictos introducidos en 2020 han supuesto finalmente una mejora significativa. Sin embargo, las emisiones de los motores di\u00e9sel se han mantenido estables, mientras que las de los motores de gasolina solo se han reducido en 4,6 %. <strong>Los avances en la eficiencia de los motores se han visto contrarrestados por un aumento de la masa y la potencia de los veh\u00edculos.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para reducir las emisiones de CO2, el Tribunal de Cuentas Europeo destaca<strong> el coche el\u00e9ctrico, que se enfrenta a una serie de obst\u00e1culos importantes.<\/strong> El primero es la dependencia europea de las bater\u00edas importadas de Asia, un problema que exige una estrategia para impulsar la producci\u00f3n local. Dado que los veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos son, por t\u00e9rmino medio, m\u00e1s caros que los modelos de combusti\u00f3n, esto podr\u00eda animar a los residentes de estos pa\u00edses a <strong>mantienen sus coches de combusti\u00f3n interna durante m\u00e1s tiempo<\/strong>.
