As the Trident brand prepares to unveil its new strategic plan in December 2026, its CEO, Santo Ficili, has just made a particularly interesting revelation. In an interview with a British media outlet Auto Express<\/em>, Maserati's CEO confirms that the next-generation Quattroporte could feature a completely new design, somewhere between a station wagon and a crossover.<\/strong> A statement that confirms the profound changes that have been announced for several months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Quattroporte will no longer be a traditional sedan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is probably the most important piece of information in this interview. When asked about the future of the Quattroporte, Santo Ficili makes no secret of his intention to reinvent this iconic model. \u00abThe future of the Quattroporte, as I see it, isn\u2019t a sedan. It could be something between a shooting brake and a crossover: a large, very low-slung car, to return to that segment.\u00bb<\/strong> A statement that marks a true break from the six generations of the Quattroporte that have been on the market since 1963. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This product campaign comes at a critical moment. According to data compiled by Italpassion<\/a>, only 3,758 Maseratis were registered in the 13 markets surveyed between January and September 2026, representing a 38% decline from the third quarter.<\/strong> Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis, recently acknowledged this: \u00abWe can no longer afford to make mistakes\u00bb<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
