Thirty years to the day later, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/fiat\/\">Fiat<\/a> chose this symbolic date to register the first unit of a new special edition: the Pandina Tributo Autobianchi. This tribute is by no means a coincidence, given how closely the two models are linked by their shared history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To understand this nod to the past, we have to go back to 1985. That year, Autobianchi unveiled the Y10, a small city car built on a platform derived from that of the Fiat Panda. But while the Panda focused primarily on simplicity and economy, the Autobianchi Y10 sought to appeal to a different clientele, with a more refined appearance, higher-quality materials, and an instantly recognizable style. And for connoisseurs, certain details will immediately bring to mind its predecessor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Pandina that draws inspiration from the Autobianchi Y10<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first distinctive feature of this Pandina Tributo Autobianchi is its exclusive color, named <em>Platino<\/em>, a champagne color developed specifically for this edition. Inside, Fiat has also sought to restore a sense of elegance. The light sand-colored microfiber seats feature a large checkered pattern, while the front headrests bear a special logo. It retains the Pandina\u2019s hybrid powertrain and, like the other versions, will be produced at the Italian plant in Pomigliano d\u2019Arco. Because despite its age and the arrival of the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/cars\/fiat-grande-panda\/\">Fiat Grande Panda<\/a>, the old Panda remains simply indispensable to Fiat. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.italpassion.fr\/en\/fiat\/the-grand-panda-and-the-500-are-reviving-fiat-in-europe-except-that-6-out-of-10-italians-still-prefer-the-old-panda\/\">the figures collected by Italpassion<\/a>, <strong>86,378 Fiat Pandas were registered in Italy between January and September 2026<\/strong>, out of a total of 144,291 Fiats. In other words, nearly 60 % of the Fiats sold in the country are still classic Pandas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fiat Grande Panda, although much newer, recorded 30,651 registrations during the same period. It is gaining ground, but has not yet surpassed its smaller sibling. Across Europe, Fiat also reported 100,000 Pandina registrations since January, up 7.%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this Autobianchi Tributo, Fiat is ultimately killing two birds with one stone: paying tribute to a defunct brand that left its mark on several generations of Italian drivers, while showcasing a model that, despite its age, remains Fiat\u2019s best-selling vehicle in its home country.
