The Kimera EVO37<\/a> rarely change hands. It\u2019s worth noting that only 37 units were originally planned, and each one was configured down to the smallest detail by its first owner. But one of them is set to go under the hammer soon. And not just any one: the EVO37 No. 018, built in March 2025, has only 237 kilometers on the odometer. A little over a year after it rolled out of the workshops at Kimera Automobili<\/a>, it could already reach a staggering amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 450,000 euros to over a million?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The car will be unveiled on October 9, 2026, in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, during The Zoute Concours Auction<\/em>, organized by Broad Arrow Auctions. The announced estimate gives an idea of the enthusiasm now surrounding Kimera\u2019s creations: between 950,000 and 1,150,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s an impressive sum when you consider that the EVO37 was originally priced at around 450,000 euros at launch, with its price having fluctuated over the years depending on the configuration. In other words, this particular car could exceed one million euros and be worth more than double its original new-car price\u2014provided, of course, that bidders meet the estimate. The outcome of the sale will therefore be particularly interesting to observe in order to gauge the model\u2019s true value on the secondary market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A design that pays homage to Lamborghini<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This EVO37 No. 018 already stands out because of its configuration. Its owner chose a paint color called Kimera Luci del Bosco, a metallic brown that directly references the Lamborghini Miura and Countach, which were painted in a similar color. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nod to the past continues with the gold-colored wheels and the beige leather interior, while a wooden gearshift knob was specially requested. The interior, of course, retains the spectacular exposed-grid gear selector and the signature neo-retro atmosphere of the EVO37. Despite its status as a classic car, it hasn\u2019t been completely taken off the road: its 237 kilometers on the odometer are, however, negligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reimagined Lancia 037 with 500 ch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We actually had the opportunity to take a closer look at an EVO37 in 2025. Behind its design, which is clearly inspired by the legendary Lancia Rally 037, lies a much more profound transformation than just a cosmetic one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kimera is based on a Lancia Beta Montecarlo, which has been extensively reworked and clad in carbon-fiber bodywork. The 2.1-liter four-cylinder engine developed by Italtecnica features a particularly appealing combination: a supercharger paired with a turbocharger. The result delivers 505 ch and 550 Nm, transmitted exclusively to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Weighing in at about one metric ton, the EVO37 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km\/h in about 3.2 seconds. \u00d6hlins suspension and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes round out this very modern reinterpretation of Group B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Already a collector's item?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The involvement of big names from the Lancia era in the development\u2014notably Claudio Lombardi and Sergio Limone\u2014further adds to the project\u2019s legitimacy. And with such a limited production run, the supply on the used car market is inevitably tiny. The question now is whether collectors are truly willing to shell out more than one million euros. If EVO37 No. 018 reaches its high estimate of 1.15 million euros, its value will have skyrocketed in just over a year. The auctioneer\u2019s hammer will decide whether the Kimera EVO37 has already entered a new category: that of Italian restomods that have become objects of speculation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
