Jeremy Clarkson is parting with several cars from his personal collection. And not just any cars. Among the three vehicles up for auction are two Italian cars well known to enthusiasts of The Grand Tour<\/em> : a Alfa Romeo GTV6<\/a> from 1983 and a Lancia Montecarlo Spider<\/a> from 1982. Two cars that the British host drove on camera before deciding to keep them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iconic Auctioneers<\/em> will offer the two Italian cars, along with a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V, at an auction to be held on November 14, 2026, at the NEC in Birmingham. A unique feature of this auction is that all three cars will be sold without a reserve price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lancia from The Grand Tour's latest trip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Lancia Montecarlo has a particularly symbolic history. It is, quite simply, the last car driven by Jeremy Clarkson in The Grand Tour<\/em>. The host had chosen her to One for the Road<\/em>, the final adventure featuring Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, filmed in Zimbabwe and then in Botswana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This 1982 Montecarlo Spider, however, is quite different from its original configuration. To tackle Africa, it underwent several modifications, including Ferrari 308 taillights, four exhaust tips, and wheels, headlights, and a grille borrowed from the Lancia Delta Integrale. Its Lotus Blue paint job also contributes to its very distinctive look. The interior had also been modified. In particular, the leather seats were replaced with fabric ones, and a racing-style steering wheel covered in Alcantara was installed. After filming, Clarkson had grown so attached to the Lancia that he bought it and added it to his personal collection. Now with 62,740 miles on the odometer\u2014about 101,000 km\u2014it has since been restored to keep it running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Alfa Romeo GTV6 that also appeared on *The Grand Tour*<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second Italian car is a 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6, in its classic Alfa Rosso color. This one appeared much earlier in The Grand Tour<\/em>, during the episode Well-Aged Scotch<\/em> aired in February 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarkson had chosen the GTV6 to drive the famous North Coast 500 in Scotland. James May was driving a Lancia Gamma Coup\u00e9, while Richard Hammond had opted for a Fiat X1\/9. The goal was to demonstrate that it was still possible to find interesting Italian classics at reasonable prices. With its 2.5-liter \u00abBusso\u00bb V6 engine, its five-speed manual transmission mounted at the rear in a transaxle configuration, and its distinctive sound, the GTV6 had won Clarkson over despite a few mechanical mishaps, including a driveshaft failure. Once again, the story didn\u2019t end with the credits: Clarkson kept the Alfa in his collection. The car has only 28,315 miles on it\u2014about 45,600 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Sale That Hides Another Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One question remains: Why is Jeremy Clarkson parting ways today with these cars, to which he seemed particularly attached? Iconic Auctioneers is deliberately keeping it a mystery. The auction house simply states that the reason will be revealed in an upcoming season of Clarkson's Farm<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we\u2019ll have to wait a while to find out how this story ends. In the meantime, on November 14, two pieces of Jeremy Clarkson\u2019s automotive television history will change hands. And since no reserve price has been set, it will be up to the bidders to decide the value of this rather unique collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
