During Monterey Car Week, exceptional cars are almost commonplace. But this year, something as rare as an eclipse occurred. No, it wasn\u2019t the surprise announcement of a new Alfa Romeo Giulia. It had to do with Lamborghini<\/a> and one of his most radical creations: the Sesto Elemento<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Sant\u2019Agata Bolognese-based automaker took advantage of its week in California to unveil its latest models, including the Revuelto SV<\/a> and celebrate the 60th anniversary of the legendary Miura<\/a>, two Lamborghini Sesto Elementos appeared in the same place. A sighting that may well never happen again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of about ten in the world<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unveiled in 2010, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento was originally slated for a production run of 20 units. But that figure is now widely disputed. According to various records and collector surveys, only about ten were actually built, including prototypes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even more surprising, we were able to track down only eight examples worldwide: two in the United States, one in Switzerland, one in Italy, one in Dubai, two in Malaysia, and one in Hong Kong. In other words, seeing a Sesto Elemento is already quite an event. Seeing two of them arrive together during Monterey Car Week is nothing short of exceptional. And as if that weren\u2019t enough, the pair was accompanied by a Lamborghini Revent\u00f3n<\/a>, of which only 20 coupes were ever produced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Sesto Elementos Approved for Road Use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Above all, these two cars hide another unique feature. The Sesto Elemento was never designed to be driven on public roads. With its naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 570 ch, all-wheel drive, and\u2014most notably\u2014a weight of just 999 kg thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, it was a true technological showcase intended for the track. However, the two examples gathered in California can now legally be driven on public roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this is no coincidence: both cars passed through the United Kingdom, where they were modified by Lanzante. The British specialist, already famous for making certain race cars road-legal, carried out the necessary modifications to allow the Sesto Elementos to leave the racetracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of these cars had already made headlines in 2025 when it was spotted in England during the Goodwood Festival of Speed<\/a>. A few months later, A Lanzante-certified Sesto Elemento made an appearance in the United States<\/a>. This time, the two road-going models were side by side in California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
