There are Lamborghini<\/a> Rare, very rare Lamborghinis\u2014and then there's this one. This Murci\u00e9lago<\/a> This 2010 LP 670-4 SuperVeloce combines just about everything that could make a collector\u2019s head spin: a unique configuration, an extremely rare manual transmission, a naturally aspirated V12, and fewer than 8,000 kilometers on the odometer. RM Sotheby\u2019s is set to auction it off without a reserve price, with one surprising caveat: if its future owner is American, they\u2019ll have to wait until 2035 before they can actually enjoy driving it on U.S. roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Murci\u00e9lago of which only one exists<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At first glance, it\u2019s obviously the color that catches your eye. This LP 670-4 SV is the only one to have left Sant\u2019Agata Bolognese in this Marrone Eklipsis shade, a metallic brown from the Ad Personam program inspired by a color already associated with the Diablo\u2019s final years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior is just as unique, featuring a combination of Marrone Janus and Avorio Lilium and \u00abcomfort\u00bb seats from the LP640. But the most prized detail is found between those two seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Murci\u00e9lago features a six-speed manual transmission with Lamborghini\u2019s famous metal shift gate. According to RM Sotheby\u2019s, only five LP 670-4 SVs were equipped with this transmission. Chassis 4015 is reportedly the last manual-transmission SV to roll off the assembly line and, by extension, the last Lamborghini V12 with a manual transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

670 chevaux and 342 km\/h<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Its configuration doesn\u2019t stop there. Instead of the imposing rear wing typically associated with the SuperVeloce, this model features the extremely rare \u00abLow Drag Wing.\u00bb This design allowed the Murci\u00e9lago to reach 212 mph\u2014about 342 km\/h\u2014compared to 337 km\/h with the Aeropack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind the occupants lies the spectacular 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing 670 ch. That's enough to accelerate from 0 to 97 km\/h in about 3.1 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sixteen years after rolling off the assembly line, the Lamborghini has only 7,906 kilometers on it. Suffice it to say that its next owner is more likely to view it as a collector\u2019s item than as a car for Sunday drives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American buyers will have to wait until 2035<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is, however, a catch. This Murci\u00e9lago was built to European specifications and does not comply with U.S. federal safety and emissions standards. RM Sotheby\u2019s therefore explicitly warns bidders: it cannot currently be registered normally in the United States. To qualify for the exemption granted to vehicles that are 25 years old, it will be necessary to wait until around 2035. The car is currently in Blenheim, Canada, under a temporary import permit. An American can certainly win the auction, but they will have to keep the Lamborghini outside the United States until it reaches the required age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How high can the bidding go?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That is precisely what makes the auction on August 24\u201326, 2026, particularly interesting. RM Sotheby\u2019s is offering this Murci\u00e9lago without reserve and has not released an estimate. With its unique paint color, manual transmission, Low Drag Wing, low mileage, and its presumed status as the last Lamborghini V12 with a manual transmission, it nevertheless has all the ingredients to fetch a spectacular price. It remains to be seen how much a collector will be willing to spend on this Lamborghini, which some buyers will be able to own immediately\u2026 but won\u2019t be able to drive home until 2035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
