Charles Leclerc<\/a> doesn't just manage the Ferrari<\/a> the fastest on the planet. The Monegasque also has a genuine passion for the history of the Prancing Horse. This summer, he is sharing a part of that history with the public by lending two cars from his personal collection to the Automobile Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the summer exhibition \u00abFrom Yesterday to Today,\u00bb two Ferraris separated by several decades are displayed side by side: a 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB\/2 and a much more recent 812 Competizione A. Two V12 engines, two philosophies, but both illustrate Ferrari\u2019s spectacular evolution in the same way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ferrari 275 GTB\/2: A Testament to the 1960s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first one immediately brings to mind Maranello's glory days. With its long silhouette, distinctive headlights, and curves designed by Pininfarina, the Ferrari 275<\/a> The GTB is one of the iconic models of the 1960s. The car on display in Monaco is, more specifically, a 1964 275 GTB\/2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under its long hood sits a 3.3-liter V12 engine producing approximately 280 ch, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. This powertrain already allowed the Italian GT to exceed 250 km\/h. The 275 GTB also marked a significant technical advancement for Ferrari, notably with the adoption of independent suspension on all four wheels. The black model on loan from Charles Leclerc offers, above all, a striking contrast to the other Ferrari selected for this exhibition. After all, nearly six decades of automotive development separate them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 812 Competizione A pushes the V12 to its limits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Next to him is, in fact, a Ferrari 812<\/a> White Competizione A. While the *Collection des Automobiles* refers to an 812 Competizione, it is more specifically its spectacular open-top \u00abTarga\u00bb version, produced in a limited series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine alone is a tribute to Ferrari tradition. The naturally aspirated 6,496 cm\u00b3 V12 produces 830 ch and can reach an impressive 9,500 rpm. This powertrain represents the polar opposite of the 275 GTB\u2019s V12 in terms of performance, while continuing an architectural legacy that has become inseparable from the brand\u2019s history. However, the 812 Competizione A is more than just its engine. Ferrari developed it as a particularly radical evolution of the 812 Superfast, with extensive aerodynamic work and technical solutions designed to enhance its sporty character, including four-wheel steering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Generations of Ferraris Brought Together by Charles Leclerc<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The choice of these two cars ultimately gives full meaning to the theme \u00abFrom Yesterday to Today.\u00bb On one hand, a GT that embodies Ferrari\u2019s elegance and craftsmanship in the mid-1960s. On the other, one of the most extreme expressions of Maranello\u2019s modern naturally aspirated V12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By lending these two models from his personal collection, Charles Leclerc also reveals a different side of his relationship with Ferrari. Beyond his role as a Scuderia driver, the Monegasque driver is shown here as an enthusiast and collector who is equally devoted to the brand\u2019s heritage and its contemporary creations. The Ferrari 275 GTB\/2 and the 812 Competizione A are on display all summer at the Automobile Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco, as part of the exhibition \u00abFrom Yesterday to Today.\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
