In Monaco, supercars are almost part of the scenery. And this week, it's a Pagani Huayra<\/a> Codalunga, who was spotted on the streets of the principality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a video posted on Instagram, the Italian hypercar appears almost at odds with Monaco's usual hustle and bustle. No demonstrative accelerations, no extravagant colors. The Codalunga moves forward calmly, in an almost silent elegance, simply letting its unique proportions and timeless design speak for themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Pagani designed as a rolling work of art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When Horacio Pagani<\/a> unveiled the Huayra Codalunga in 2022, the aim was not to create the most extreme or fastest Pagani. The philosophy was different: to return to a certain purity of automotive design, inspired directly by the racing cars of the 60s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Codalunga, whose name literally means \u201clong tail\u201d in Italian, adopts the aesthetic codes of the prototypes that once competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Its huge, stretched rear end immediately gives the impression of a car sculpted by the wind, with sleek, fluid lines that contrast with the often aggressive styling of modern hypercars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear also features one of the model's most striking details: its four square-positioned tailpipes, perfectly integrated between the taillights. An instantly recognizable visual signature that further enhances its almost timeless allure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only five worldwide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The rarity of this Pagani also explains why its appearance at Monaco is such a talking point among enthusiasts. Only five Huayra Codalunga were ever produced worldwide, each one tailor-made for its owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few years later, Pagani will also present a Speedster model<\/a>, even more spectacular with its open roof, this time in a production run of ten units. But the model seen in Monaco is the original coup\u00e9, the one that launched Horacio Pagani's distinctive neo-retro vision. Yet underneath the 60s-inspired bodywork lies a very modern powertrain. The Codalunga is powered by AMG's 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, capable of delivering 830 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
