In Monaco, it's not uncommon to come across Ferraris, Lamborghinis and McLarens in front of luxury hotels and harbor yachts. But some cars still manage to stop passers-by dead in their tracks. That's exactly what happened when Fernando Alonso took delivery of his new Pagani Zonda<\/a> 760 Roadster Diamante Verde, a virtually unique Italian hypercar estimated at nearly 10 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For several days now, videos of the Spaniard have been circulating on social networks. They show the two-time Formula 1 world champion at the wheel of this spectacular green Pagani with its almost unreal reflections. A car so rare that it looks more like it came out of a private museum than a street open to traffic. But behind this already unusual delivery lies a much more unexpected detail. On collecting his new Pagani, Fernando Alonso also received a very special gift for his son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Pagani Zonda among the most exclusive in the world<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Pagani<\/a>, exclusivity is a tradition. But even within the Italian brand, this Zonda 760 Roadster Diamante Verde is in a class of its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Produced in very limited numbers in the Zonda 760 galaxy, this version takes the concept of the unique model to the extreme. Its emerald-green-tinted carbon-fiber bodywork is an immediate eye-catcher, especially in the Monegasque sunshine. Green inserts on the air intakes, body contours and rims further enhance its spectacular appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rear, dominated by a huge spoiler, recalls the most radical versions of the Zonda. As for the cabin, it remains true to the Pagani universe: black leather, Alcantara, visible carbon and green stitching make up an interior that looks more like a work of Italian watchmaking than that of a classic automobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beneath this sculpture, the legendary 7.3-liter naturally-aspirated AMG V12 still lurks. With 760 hp and 780 Nm of torque, the Zonda 760 Roadster remains capable of impressive performance despite the years: less than 3 seconds from 0 to 100 km\/h and a top speed approaching 360 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The personalized gift from Pagani<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The delivery of this Zonda was not limited to the car itself, however. Fernando Alonso also discovered a fully customized car seat donated by Pagani for his new son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A surprising but particularly symbolic reference for the Spanish driver, who recently became a father for the first time. The child seat, installed on the passenger side as the Zonda has only two seats, is said to be based on a Recaro Axion 1 model. But this version obviously has little to do with standard equipment. The manufacturer has customized it in the colors of Alonso's helmet, with the famous number 14 emblazoned on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the car is worth almost 10 million euros, this car seat represents around 300 euros without personalization. An almost derisory detail compared to the price of the hypercar, but probably the most personal attention of the whole delivery.
